bottom-of-the-line Panasonic. I'm not flush with money and I don't have a fancy a/v set-up, so it will be good enough. Now looking at the Complete Deadwood Blu-Ray Set on Amazon. I have a gift card that would knock out half the price. Also I'm going to be out of a job in three weeks and then I'm going on a pricey vacation. And medical bills are turning up. This was probably not a good idea overall.

at the moment I'm watching some soccer, jotting down notes for a potential "blog" about Danish v US TV series, and cracking open a beer.

i spent most of today cleaning house, doing laundry and dishes, and putting junk mail and old bills in the shred pile. i feel more civilized when everything's clean.

i said i was gonna go to the gym but i'm sure i burned a few calories being a housewife.

This Saturday night: Looks like it'll be the same as last Saturday night. Ick.

I am going to see Drive Angry at the dollar theater after I shave and give the cat her medicine. My friend might come if she gets out of family event early. Hello Markers!

Got done playing a boardgame about the Sertorian War about an hour ago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sertorian_War). Drinking like crazy to make up for constant rules interpretations. I know now why I don't play these types of games anymore.

I have to make brunch tomorrow, so that should be a nice brain cleanse.

i made burgers (topped with havarti and red onion) and a spinach salad (with a dressing made from rice vinegar and fresh-squeezed orange juice). victory lives in my belly.

Sat around, watched some Avengers; got overwhelmingly tired for no reason around 8:00 and snuck in a few hours of sleep, and now it's midnight, I'm tired but not sleepy and I've got fuck all to do. Saving up my last few Ativan to maybe go into the city tomorrow? I dunno.

made a yummy roast chicken with potatoes roasted underneath & big green salad...and an It's-It for dessert

...and LOTR is still going :D

bad weather has given me an excuse not to go to the movies. now i have a selection of recently acquired blu-rays to choose from, or perhaps a movie on demand, or perhaps an MLS soccer game.

gonna stay in and make love to my air conditioner. and eat rotisserie chicken and watch movies.

Been helping friends move all day. Tired but happy.

Made a nice healthy salad, then put it in the fridge and ordered a pizza. Stayed in and watched How to Get Ahead in Advertising.

i'm going to listen to podcasts and do some work and go to the supermarket and go to 7-11 and eat some fried rice and perhaps dance around and clean up this desk, which is a mess, and go to bed really, really late, like past 4 AM late

Riding out a particularly hard Vyvanse crash. Watched Silent Running (which kind of sucks), might move on to another movie if I can work up the energy to do so. Looking for a place that will deliver a pizza after midnight even though I'm not terribly hungry because I feel like shit and I'd like to get a nice greasy pile of self-loathing.

all of my friends and roommates went home for easter, so i'm lord of the mancave. didn't even head to the bike store to fetch a new tube like i was going to, but it was raining, so why bother going outside, right?
