I'm in fantasy land, but as long as polls exist, it would be nice if you had to post in the thread before voting.. so that it can known that you voted for the nirvana song because it's the only thing in the poll you recognize.

for the record, there are phones which are not iphones that still deal with websites poorly. mobile device interface is my savior.

the way i've seen this done on...... uh another site, is that if someone has paged you, there's a little (1) at the far right of the top links. (or (2) if two people have paged you). when you click on it, you're taken to your profile page. that page provides a snippet of each post that paged you, with a link to the thread it appears in.

AA, pro tip to rid yrself of the mobile version:

download the Atomic Web browser on yr iphone and in preferences set 'Identify Browser As' to 'Safari Desktop'.

The new shortened youtu.be addresses don't auto-embed, so it would be nice if it stays that way.

That trick has done fucked up the internet.

The first will automatically embed, the second will not.

(but only because ILX is set up for a specific youtube link format. it could be change to (or to include) the new shortened urls too, but i'd prefer if it didn't.)

As long as they're not autoplaying, they've never bothered me.

You can still get the old format url in the address bar of your browser, but I don't know whether or not they're just going all youtu.be in the future or not.
