'you just can't beat this utd team'
no shit, it appears to be in the rules
― the salmon of procrastination (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:37 (fifteen years ago)
nah every time they come back from 2 down it feels like this. that Villa game this season? that was worse
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:37 (fifteen years ago)
Just gonna let you guys vent
― Number None, Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:40 (fifteen years ago)
when they beat us 5-2 and we ought to just have been grateful that our keeper was left on the pitch, oh the lols.
the hit that a team takes when calls like the vidic red go against you, even at 2-0 up, makes a huge difference. west ham knew it today, blackpool knew it a few weeks back- you have to do more than just beat utd- you have to beat them without allowing the ref any excuse to redress the balance.
― the salmon of procrastination (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:41 (fifteen years ago)
yeah i'm totally taking back that trying to be fair bullshit, vidic should've been off.
― territory of the magic wand (Chris), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:42 (fifteen years ago)
Can't wait for the red-nosed old drunk to rant on in the papers tomorrow about how the media is totally against Man Utd despite their title-winning performances.
― James Mitchell, Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:44 (fifteen years ago)
Kights is on the bench today. Didn't think he looked good enough for the Prem in his v. few outings at the start of last season, and don't know where he can play really: couldn't pick him over Jarv or Hammill. Wish him well tho.
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:45 (fifteen years ago)
Karl Henry vs Joey Barton cd be everything that David Haye's bouts never are.
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:46 (fifteen years ago)
younger brother- utd fan- "ah well, you get a kick from the bitchin at least'
― the salmon of procrastination (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:47 (fifteen years ago)
I can't even vent at that, it's so wrong. It's even worse because Utd were going to win anyway, now there's no title race and they didn't even have to earn it. I mean, what was the fucking point of even watching?
― Ismael Klata, Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:48 (fifteen years ago)
"ah well, you get a kick from the bitchin at least'
― the salmon of procrastination (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:48 (fifteen years ago)
Anyway, enough. Liverpool looking good for sixth I reckon.
― Ismael Klata, Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:49 (fifteen years ago)
and they didn't even have to earn it
Harsh. Despite the poor decisions
― Number None, Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:50 (fifteen years ago)
Could probably do with Pool winning at West Brom today but a Hodgson win wd be the lol-er story.
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:50 (fifteen years ago)
utd have made good use of their ref bias all season, and have been effective despite being ugly and shit- and you have to take into account how poor chelsea and arsenal have been for long periods without playing their ref cards as cleverly as sir alex, so no, tbf, utd deserve to win the title this season.
― the salmon of procrastination (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:52 (fifteen years ago)
league table doesn't lie imo
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:52 (fifteen years ago)
Chelsea won two titles being ugly. Not shit tho.
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:53 (fifteen years ago)
Rooney's two non-penalty goals today were far from shit or ugly. See what you want to see though.
― Number None, Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:56 (fifteen years ago)
talking about over the course of the season, don't see how you can deny this is probably Fergie's worst side of the last 15 years.
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:57 (fifteen years ago)
I've never denied this is not a great team but somehow this idea has arisen that every Utd win this season has been an ugly grind. Still played some great stuff (in patches) and scored some fantastic goals
― Number None, Saturday, 2 April 2011 13:59 (fifteen years ago)
both rooney's goals were lovely goals- clearly acknowledged the first above, tbh.
but utd have been ugly to watch and stutteringly poor for large parts of this season- that's me seeing exactly what i don't want to see tbh
― the salmon of procrastination (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:00 (fifteen years ago)
fuck sake carragher, 2 hoofs in the first minute.
― territory of the magic wand (Chris), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:02 (fifteen years ago)
The guts of an exciting team are there though imo. Just need that mythical creative midfielder.
― Number None, Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:03 (fifteen years ago)
oh sure there were some nice goals from rooney. but that still doesn't stop me from thinking FUCK YOU ALL.
― Nult AGL (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:03 (fifteen years ago)
oh yeah, in patches- but very patchy patches.
and while there have been moments of real individual brilliance- yes, even from rooney- they are isolated and forlorn snatches of greatness set against a team with no real cohesion or attacking momentum.
even when chelsea were winning titles 'ugly', they'd swat teams aside with pressure and thrust. utd and arsenal played rings around teams in the 90's and up until probably 2004 on their way to titles. even the utd of ronaldo/rooney axis of evil could consistently destroy you on the counter.
and yeah- i agree with you that there's the guts of a really good young team there! keep the fuck away from modric, bale, even thudd would make a huge difference imo
― the salmon of procrastination (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:04 (fifteen years ago)
LOL, you guys don't like Man Utd very much, do you?
― Tom D (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:04 (fifteen years ago)

we hate injustice and will post against it in all its forms tom
I hate Ferguson more than I hate Man Utd tbh
― Tom D (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:06 (fifteen years ago)
But I suppose if you're primarily a fan of English football, Man Utd are obv. the team to hate
― Tom D (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:07 (fifteen years ago)

― Number None, Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:08 (fifteen years ago)
All the day needs is a John Terry Shawcrossing to round it off.
― James Mitchell, Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:09 (fifteen years ago)

Do Stoke fans ever sing Rory Delap's name to the tune of "Rupert the Bear"? Cos I wd be tempted.
― Boobage Dirtbag (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:35 (fifteen years ago)
Words are apt too
― Tom D (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 April 2011 14:36 (fifteen years ago)
There's a little footballer like you've never seen before whose a lot of fun.Children every where grow to love him more and more he's the number one. There's a million stories to be told of the things that, he's done. And he's going to share them all if you so come along.
Oh Rory, Rory Delap every one sing his name.Rory, Rory Delap every one come and join, in all of his games
There is Badger Bill, little Tiger Lilly too and a whole lot more. They are Rory's Friends and they are waiting here for you so unlock the doorThere's a magic land not far away from here and they call it, Nutwood.Where you'll meet a little teddy bear if you are good.
Oh Rory, Rory Delap every one sing his name.Rory, Rory Delap every one come and join, in all of his games.Oh Rory, Rory Delap every one sing his name.Rory, Rory Delap every one come and join, in all of his games.Rory, Rory, Rory.
