A new 30 Rock thread because I can't find the old one

I particularly enjoyed the inclusion of the sax soloist from rock songs in the group of people whose jobs are now obsolete.

Probably my favorite episode of the season so far. I was LOLing all the way through. Will Arnett definitely keeps the laffs coming.

i like that they had a joke about NBC's failed Knight Rider remake (which Arnett was almost a part of) in the same episode as Sorkin finally showing up and taking a jab about Studio 60. mean meta galore!

Will Arnett turned down a job that Val Kilmer took. Kilmer is clearly done with life (except for MacGruber).

nah, Arnett recorded a bunch of voiceovers for Knight Rider, was replaced with Kilmer at the last minute because of corporate conflicts (Arnett did General Motors ads, Ford was providing the cars fo rthe show).

I didn't love this episode actually but bravo to Sorkin for having a sense of humor. Always loved this old line from Tina:

The gossipers over at New York Daily News have a great tidbit about Tina Fey dissing Aaron Sorkin at a recent event. She reportedly told the crowd at the Writers Guild Awards, "I hear Aaron Sorkin is in Los Angeles wearing the same dress- but longer, and not funny."

I guess I was thinking more broadly, like Kenneth's line from a couple weeks ago: "When I have problems I like to talk to the man upstairs. Unfortunately Mr. Gazalean got put in jail for attacking his father."

my favorite joke like that was another one of Kenneth's: "That reminds me of a story about my neighbor's cat. His name was Mr. Wiggles and his cat's name was Norman..."

i watched this for the second time today, and i laughed even harder than i did the first time? i hadn't forgotten about TWINKS, but some of the jokes i'd forgotten just destroyed me. in fact, the one i'd forgotten about entirely was the whole "Jenna-Babies" bit, with the Vietnamese baby offering comfort to a GI then saying, "I'm good at math," then Jenna saying "That's so it's not racist." classic.
