Evans must have voluntarily walked off the pitch because Utd don't get sendings off at home etc etc

YES!

United Are Back (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:47 (fifteen years ago)

goddammit

Gukbe, Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:48 (fifteen years ago)

Stays like this and Chelsea win on Sunday and their game in hand they would be only 4 pts off the top. Which seems unbelievable to me.

kuyty on a mission (pandemic), Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:49 (fifteen years ago)

or not now Utd have scored.

kuyty on a mission (pandemic), Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:49 (fifteen years ago)

Bleeegghhh lucky ManU

La descente infernale (Le Bateau Ivre), Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:50 (fifteen years ago)

I'll be disappointed if that goal wasn't in stoppage time in order to conform to stereotype

kuyty on a mission (pandemic), Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:50 (fifteen years ago)

Sorry wrong thread ;-)

kuyty on a mission (pandemic), Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:54 (fifteen years ago)

I really hate you Arsenal

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 March 2011 17:35 (fifteen years ago)

Didn't watch, sounds like shite.

James Mitchell, Saturday, 19 March 2011 17:39 (fifteen years ago)

The ref obviously felt emboldened enough by Fergie's absence from the sideline to send Evans off today

Number None, Saturday, 19 March 2011 19:04 (fifteen years ago)

missin the point?
Was it a legit red or not?
Not every red card proves you're not favoured ffs, you just get 80% of 50-50's and maybe 20% of inarguably ridiculous ones

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Saturday, 19 March 2011 22:12 (fifteen years ago)

Lovely first time shot from Jarvis for Wolves' goal.

you can be happy also (onimo), Saturday, 19 March 2011 23:28 (fifteen years ago)

It was a joke dude. To be honest i think it could potentially have been a yellow. It's a 50/50 challenge and yes, Evans studs are raised but i think it's primarily the severity of the injury that's gotten him sent off. I'm not complaining though.

Number None, Saturday, 19 March 2011 23:29 (fifteen years ago)

i've not seen it, bad injury?

I'm just irascible because i've not been allowed the tv since the spurs game. Carrie and the girls are in the fucking hamptons ffs.

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Saturday, 19 March 2011 23:30 (fifteen years ago)

It was very similar to Nani's, a "deep gash". Holden seemed to be in a lot of distress though.

Number None, Saturday, 19 March 2011 23:32 (fifteen years ago)

Two players both jumped in a bit, Evans "won". Holden's skin was split right across his kneecap.

Suspension for Evans & Brown going off injured makes Wayne Rooney their only fit defender iirc.

you can be happy also (onimo), Saturday, 19 March 2011 23:33 (fifteen years ago)

lol Harper wtf is he doing

you can be happy also (onimo), Saturday, 19 March 2011 23:35 (fifteen years ago)

proper cunted free kick from Higginbottom. Newcastle replacing Stoke in the "could still go down" slot.

you can be happy also (onimo), Saturday, 19 March 2011 23:37 (fifteen years ago)

Lovely strike from Arshavin. It's glimpses of that kind of assurance makes the rest so frustrating.

This position must be torture for Wenger. Normally they're comfortably third or fourth and everyone's all 'brilliant, given their limitations'. This year his job's to keep Man Utd and Barca nailed down, and he's picking Bendtner and Almunia.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:03 (fifteen years ago)

tbf almunia and bendtner are 3rd choices.

Nult AGL (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:07 (fifteen years ago)

equiv of utd having to play.... who's behind kuszcak?

Nult AGL (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:08 (fifteen years ago)

Lindegaard and Owen having to play the rest of the season :: Almunia and Bendtner having to play the rest of the season

Nult AGL (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:09 (fifteen years ago)

oh boy this wiki photo

Nult AGL (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:10 (fifteen years ago)

Having Almunia as third choice is still really stupid. Maybe give him a job in the club shop or something instead.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:15 (fifteen years ago)

The worst thing about the Arsenal situation is knowing next season will be exactly the same, the same way as this season is the same as last year. Cesc rumours, injuries, customary bottling against promoted sides, Wenger interviews talking about "belief", complete lack of transfer business, promoting wimpy children into the first team squad.

Maybe next season RvP will finally kark it.

James Mitchell, Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:19 (fifteen years ago)

complete lack of transfer business = a new forward and 2 centre halves we needed? promoting wimpy children = oh thank god we never gave wilshere/chesney a chance, we have denilson/almunia? the "belief" that had us... beat barcelona and chelsea in games we could only get stuffed in last season?

Nult AGL (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:24 (fifteen years ago)

Almost no words for Denilson, Gibbs, Vela et al other than 'wimpy children'.

Squillaci is the new Jenson, destined to be the subject of a "Whatever happened to..." useless one-season cult figure feature in WSC in 15 years' time.

James Mitchell, Sunday, 20 March 2011 09:37 (fifteen years ago)

describing almunia and owen as equivalent to kucszak and owen is dishonest. Almunia has been 1st choice for long periods, bendtner is one of your much-lauded and indulged stars of the future.

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Sunday, 20 March 2011 11:15 (fifteen years ago)

eh, much-lauded and indulged stars of the future who everyone knows are a bit shite and will end up having a sturdy career hopping over the Premiership-Championship divide are a mainstay of plenty of teams. See: half a dozen members of any Man Utd squad of the last fifteen years.

Antoine Bugleboy (Merdeyeux), Sunday, 20 March 2011 11:49 (fifteen years ago)

exactly

Also, man u have a dependable first choice goalie, and for another thing- owen isn't ahead of berbatov, lil p or rooney. Maybe not a couple others out on loan.

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Sunday, 20 March 2011 12:05 (fifteen years ago)

just saw the evans tackle. Holden comes in from the side, evans straight into the man.

Not a 50-50

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Sunday, 20 March 2011 12:46 (fifteen years ago)

Thought it was a harsh red myself, but when even Mike Phelan thinks it's fair...

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 20 March 2011 12:50 (fifteen years ago)

They both leave the ground but yes, Evans goes in dangerously. I don't think any Utd fans are complaining tbh.

Number None, Sunday, 20 March 2011 12:51 (fifteen years ago)

Also, Fergie's high in the stands and he's talking on a landline?

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 20 March 2011 12:52 (fifteen years ago)

interests of balance- cahill handball def a peno

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Sunday, 20 March 2011 12:52 (fifteen years ago)

would have all these pints with arry redknapp

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Sunday, 20 March 2011 12:56 (fifteen years ago)

how can danny murphy still not be sure if that was a penalty after 5 or 10 minutes watching it?

territory of the magic wand (Chris), Sunday, 20 March 2011 14:32 (fifteen years ago)

Woah!

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 20 March 2011 15:08 (fifteen years ago)

Wasn't quite so impressive on the replay, but top marks for the unexpected.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 20 March 2011 15:09 (fifteen years ago)

Was nervous before this one so even more delighted to come away with 3 points!

territory of the magic wand (Chris), Sunday, 20 March 2011 15:27 (fifteen years ago)

So 20 pts from 10 games under Kenny. 2 pts a game form would have seen us 1 pt behind Utd over the course of the season, although I know it wouldn't have necessarily worked out like that.

kuyty on a mission (pandemic), Sunday, 20 March 2011 15:33 (fifteen years ago)

new boss bounce, tbf. But definite improvement.

Had he taken directly from rafa, you'd wonder......

the '' key on my keybord is not working (darraghmac), Sunday, 20 March 2011 15:38 (fifteen years ago)

Actually my maths is wrong we would have been 3 pts behind Utd. Think it only illustrates how mediocre the top of the league is this season I reckon.
God, Jamie Redknapp really really hates Balotelli doesn't he? Look forward to the same moralising about betraying ones teammates when one of Jamie's pals gets sent off.

kuyty on a mission (pandemic), Sunday, 20 March 2011 15:51 (fifteen years ago)

Nice little bit of clear water below Liverpool now. We're only one result away from having a genuine top four top six

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 20 March 2011 16:06 (fifteen years ago)

i'm looking down at ye rather than up at the rest it's true
