― Nult AGL (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 19 March 2011 16:57 (fifteen years ago)
this episode had so much good stuff, but it was almost TOO good a parody of the source material, where it got kind of annoying to watch due to the format
ham, though, damn, i lost it

The little reaction shots Dotcom was shooting to the camera when Jack was talking about his sports days – oh shit, they were killing me.
― Looking Man (Abbbottt), Sunday, 20 March 2011 00:24 (fifteen years ago)
omg "I drank all the throwing wine" I died
Whole ep was killing me
― VegemiteGrrl, Sunday, 20 March 2011 00:25 (fifteen years ago)
oh shit yeah the Jack sports convo was awesome "I played both sides"
dotcom was amazing in that bit, although some of it sort of went over my head because i didn't understand the terms. like going both ways, come on. though "switch hitter, pitcher" etc. all have a good innuendo to them and i understood the original meaning.
― tending tropics (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 20 March 2011 00:27 (fifteen years ago)
Modern football has offensive team, and a separate defensive team: in the old days it was just the one team and players would play both positions
― VegemiteGrrl, Sunday, 20 March 2011 00:37 (fifteen years ago)
was i wrong to read that dot com may be on the DL himself???
― FUN FUN FUN FUN (gbx), Sunday, 20 March 2011 00:45 (fifteen years ago)

― tending tropics (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 20 March 2011 00:55 (fifteen years ago)
liked, jesus, this is 4 beers in.
jim do people not use 'pitcher/catcher' etc. as gay slang/insults in scotland???
― j., Sunday, 20 March 2011 01:19 (fifteen years ago)
no, what i was meaning is that i understand them as baseball terminology, as well as innuendo whereas the american football thing i was flumoxed on, i just saw the innuendo. altho that would be good if in glasgow we were like "aye, he's a total catcher".
― tending tropics (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 20 March 2011 01:22 (fifteen years ago)
hasn't there always been undercurrents that dot com and/or grizz might be gay? the stuff in this past episode was pretty overt tho
― blingee cummings (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 20 March 2011 01:32 (fifteen years ago)
i;ve totally missed this. tho i'm not against this angle.
― tending tropics (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 20 March 2011 01:38 (fifteen years ago)
what about grizz and "beth" tho?
and the whole thing were one of them is in love with the other's fiance. i don't think you've thought this through!
― tending tropics (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 20 March 2011 01:44 (fifteen years ago)
well you see, the very definition of a guy on the "down low" is one that is in a heterosexual relationship
― blingee cummings (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 20 March 2011 01:45 (fifteen years ago)
yeah but grizz has a furtive sexual past with liz lemon and dot com is secretly in love with grizz's fiance so it's like layers on layers at that stage.

not really, no. i mean every pair of close male friends in any comedy now is left wide open for easy LOL BROMANCE jokes but i can't think of a single time they've ever done that w/ those 2.
