i looked at the google phone thing and it doesn't seem much cheaper than the iphone, plus we have a mac so i'd be less worried about the iphone being compatible with our computer (like for music uploads or whatever) than the google phone. plus i wonder if the G1 applications store will take off like the itunes app store has?

I also heard that Blago used his influence to look at private files at the Trib, and used that information to get someone fired.

Sarah/Nick - I have been researching iPhone v. G1 and it's a draw. The monthly plans are pretty much the same (within a couple of dollars) and the G1 is only slightly cheaper. The nice thing about the G1 is the actualy qwerty keyboard and the GPS. These are the things that are making me lean toward it.

But the iPhone's interface (esp the pinch and unpinch) is slightly nicer and you can use it as a remote for iTunes on your computer.

g1 is still a little new, i'd say. i'd wait for it to mature, personally

Since you have a Mac, I think you should get an iPhone. Google phones are amazing, I am not being a fan girl, but the iPhone to Mac relationship is totally true love.

Yeh, that's another thing. But for being so new, it has been getting some pretty good reviews.

The good news (for me) is that my current conract doesn't expire for 9 more months, so there is a chance that there will be a new generation of G1s.

I'm too biased against cable to make a recommendation on that. If Jeff was not interested in sports, I think we could very easily ditch cable in favor of TV on the Internet. I mean, shit, our computer monitor is nicer than our TV, picture wise.

So, I just had 99 friends on Facebook this morning, and now I only have 98. That means that in the past couple of hours someone decide to unfriend me. So sad.

sometimes i see that and i spend an inordinate amount of time wondering who it was and i never figure it out, which means something i guess.

Battlestar is definitely a key draw, and the reason why we have the cable package we have now, but it will be over soon. (SOB) Most of the other stuff you can get on iTunes or the network website, can't you? Just not contemporaneously to its air date, but with the DVR we never watch anything at its regular air time.

I probably just sent out one too many Word Twist game requests to someone. ha ha

tv and phones are lame

Mostly, I've been wanting bustracker lately.

we can watch lots of tv on our computer but we just have a laptop so the screen is small. plus we just got that big new fancy tv. we can hook up the laptop to the tv if i get the necessary cable but it never looks that great, just looks digitized and weird

Ahhhh that makes sense - I forgot you had a laptop and a fancy TV. Well, I will offer this: DVR is pretty awesome and satellite breaks when the weather is bad. Alternative, we can trade TVs.

Oh, hte other thing: G1 is on TMobile, which has the Fave 5 thing, so you can get unlimited calls to your F5.
