well, good news (if you like this thread) / bad news (if you don't like this thread and will be annoyed to see it pop up more frequently): i'm ditching my tumblr for the foreseeable future because it won't permit me to post about half of my shit, and when it does accept it, i have to reduce it to garbage quality for it to work. so i'm giving it up until they get their shit in gear.

so i'll probably be posting more frequently here (hooray!/sorry!), and the stuff here will be larger and less lossy since it won't have to go through the tumblr filter.

Yeah, I always wish there was a way to gif the desktop. Actually, wasn't there a version of windows with "active desktop" or something? I feel like it was useless because it was such a resource hog, but maybe it could handle background gifs?

i have! actually gr8080 has this awesome thread (http://www.ilxor.com/ILX/ThreadSelectedControllerServlet? )boardid=77&threadid=474, and in that thread i was asking him about how to do it, and even bought my own specialty camera and shot a roll! unfortunately i have run into major problems in developing the roll (i've tried twice and keep getting met by total befuddlement. the death of independent specialty film developer stores has taken a major toll here, and i keep getting idiotic estimates (e.g., $90 to develop one roll). if i ever manage to develop my film though, i'll post it for sure!
