Worcester was good! We had lunch at a Thai place in White City. Sorta took a gamble and did end up getting the tattoo done because I really wanted it and it was such a simple thing I figured it would be hard to fuck up. Thankfully it turned out really well. :)

tell me some good outdoor drinking places in boston, since there were zero when i lived there.

tbh there aren't that many! First that comes to mind is Charlies Kitchen in Harvard Square which put in a huge beer garden a couple years ago. I haven't actually been there tho because I used to work there and it sort of weirds me out now. Hmmmm where else?

most places with outdoor seating make you eat food due to stupid zoning laws, so I don't think anyplace in the municipality of Boston has this unless it's like in a fully-enclosed area away from the street

ah see out here we have a few beer gardens. the dive comes to mind as one of the best.

and also my back yard...which a few years ago a buddy and I made a corner of my yard into a beer garden complete with lights. last year I added some polk audio outdoor speakers...its about as close to heaven as i can get. all i need now is a recliner.

Also, what about Tavern at the End of the World? The place we went to watch the game that time? It's cute and has its own parking lot and should be easy for everyone to get to provided there aren't any parades in Somerville that day.

Yep, think so. He is "taking a break from ILX" so asked me to msg him on FB. I'll do that once we agree on a place. I have to pass Sullivan Square on the way there so am more than happy to pick him up. He might drive tho - he did last time.

I love boston and loved it even more when I spent 7 years there. Miss it. Well mainly I miss being able to walk out my front door into a bar.

Man, I just read through some of the first part of this thread. People really hate Boston! I got all defensive and was going to post a big thing about why I don't hate it anymore and why a lot of the stuff said here is wrong but I don't have the energy. It's OK Boston, I still love you.
