Jenas, it struck me yesterday, is somewhat unique- at full pace (and he is quick) his touch, passing and decisions are all much improved. While strolling or stationary, he can do fuck all to a decent level. Off the ball he's hopeless. Not worth even a squad place anymore.

Arnesen hasn't done as badly as people like to think given the state of the youth system he inherited and how difficult it is to forward plan with Chelsea's clusterfuck senior managerment. I think part of the rationale between having Pienaar and Ekotto playing together on the left is that Pienaar is defensive enough to cover when BAE bombs forward, which you can't really say about Kranjcar.
