First off, Sarah Silverman is way funnier and sexier than OM any day.

yeah its basically a universal truth, olivia munn is not that funny, she just has a personal brand of "being funny" that people mistake for actual funniness

First thing I ever saw of her was a compilation of "funniest moments" which included her jumping to eat a hot dog on a string and her jumping into a pool of whipped cream in a maid's costume. She definitely sells a personal brand of "being funny" but she's also basically a slutwaver for whom 'comedy' is a convenient excuse.

Her painful Daily Show segments are proof enough. She really looks like she's trying _so_ hard to be funny, or to be perceived as funny. But she's just not funny.

You do realize that these "compilations" are made by horny YouTube nerds, right? Its not exactly a scientific study of her punchline to actual laughter ratio or whatever.

in a nutshell, jezebel and other feminist-y blogs called out the daily show for sexism in part because it hired the criminally unfunny olivia munn; it came out later that tina fey had in fact recommended munn for perfect couples; munn said a number of impolite things about how bloggers just hate her b/c she looks good in a bikini

ok yeah the situation has parallels, i thought you were saying the character's behavior/looks were patterned after Munn which made less sense

I am not sure how that was ambiguous, but what I meant was "Lutz is always hilarious"

hanging out with Lutz and Sue would be amazing

munn was funny enough as a cohost on attack of the show, tho it could just be good writing. i would prob trust her to deliver in a comic role in a decent sitcom (havent watched 1 second of perfect couples or seen her on daily show)

The bits of her I've seen on The Daily Show have been terrifyingly awful.

As I stated before, she is really funny on Perfect Couples; actually the part is kind of tailor made for someone like her.

Right on. And it's less about the material than her delivery. Her timing is kind of abominable. The similarly dire Josh Gad didn't last this long.
