spurs have been rubbish. 23 goal attempts to 8 but they have been poor. Believe me, you'd not be impressed by this

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 22 February 2011 21:41 (fifteen years ago)

a+ from the cuntwatch team LG.

utterfilth (whatever), Tuesday, 22 February 2011 21:44 (fifteen years ago)

BAE, as last man, basically laid it off to Ormerod inside the six-yard box for the third

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 22 February 2011 21:44 (fifteen years ago)

blackpool: 3 attempts on target, 3 goals.

utterfilth (whatever), Tuesday, 22 February 2011 21:45 (fifteen years ago)

23 'goal attempts'

that's the kind of stat used to cost me coffee mugs in my championship manager days

we need someone that doesn't watch the games to look at those stats at team and individual level and just fine cunts.

'conceded three in 8 attempts against?' gomes, defence, 50% deduction in wages. cunts.

'didn't score in 23? who took em? defoe? you didn't earn 40k this week mate, fucking do one'

Achillean Heel (darraghmac), Tuesday, 22 February 2011 21:46 (fifteen years ago)

wages in envelopes at the dressing room entrance, fuck this automatic transaction shit for these cunts

David Beckham has left Spurs after one month’s training with the Premier League club.

A parting gift by him of pie and mash was eagerly consumed by boss Harry Redknapp.

“I was brought up on it so when they came I had three,” he admitted.

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 23 February 2011 09:32 (fifteen years ago)

Barcelona were left bemused when Arsenal recently signed their 16-year-old midfielder Jon Miquel Toral Harper. After losing Cesc Fabregas to the London club in 2003, it turns out the man responsible for securing the latest transfer is none other than Pere Guardiola - the brother of Barcelona manager Pep.

lol darren dein payback.

Striker Asamoah Gyan may have to be sold to balance Sunderland's books, says Black Cats chairman Niall Quinn.
Full story: Metro

considering they just sold bent for £24 fucking million, what the fuck is wrong with Sunderland's books?

Samuel (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 23 February 2011 09:36 (fifteen years ago)

Club run by financial cretins, presumably.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 23 February 2011 09:46 (fifteen years ago)

They see a lot of financial competition from the likes of Wetherspoons iirc.

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 23 February 2011 09:49 (fifteen years ago)

In addition Short has backed an agreement that the consortium will guarantee the club's revenue at an agreed level, thought to be in the region of £60 million, for the next two seasons, allowing Quinn to open negotiations with Keane over a new contract with certainty. If Sunderland exceed expectations the consortium will contribute less, but they will make up any shortfall if the team struggle.

An Irish-American – he grew up in Independence, Missouri, and has been based in Dallas for the past decade – Short made his fortune in the highly competitive world of private equity and hedge-fund management. He began his career at General Electric before teaming up with business partner John Grayken to found Lone Star in the mid-1990s with huge success.

Since 1995 Lone Star have established funds worth more than $13.3 billion that routinely produced annual returns of between nine and 23 per cent, and Short is considered so crucial to the operation that a "key man" clause allows investors to withdraw their funds without penalty if he leaves Lone Star.

xp

fuck you jan stepek you kurwa (nakhchivan), Wednesday, 23 February 2011 09:53 (fifteen years ago)

£60m turnover isn't great at Premiership level when you're paying the sort of wages Sunderland are. And they can't fill their stadium at the moment. And the club has been highly leveraged for some years. They spent pretty heavily and not especially wisely to establish themselves in the Premiership under Keane. So either Short is looking to avert a crisis or they're closer to one than expected.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 23 February 2011 10:06 (fifteen years ago)

same situation as villa last summer w/ lerner realizing it's not worth pouring cash into a team that will never get into the cl (until they end up nearing relegation and his hand is forced)

fuck you jan stepek you kurwa (nakhchivan), Wednesday, 23 February 2011 10:09 (fifteen years ago)
