[that bastard] jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 15 June 2005 19:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, first episode was last night. Now it's the 6th episode tonight, as they skipped over 2-5, which weren't that important to the plot (though some were quite good). So they'll be repeating the whole season on Wednesdays all summer. I think in some areas there might be encore presentations on Saturdays or Sundays. But not everywhere.

And then season 2 will also premiere on Wednesdays in the fall!

Melissa W (Melissa W), Wednesday, 15 June 2005 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

well I'll tape tonight and go download 1-5 and try to catch up

kyle (akmonday), Wednesday, 15 June 2005 19:49 (twenty-one years ago)

The pilot episode was very good.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Wednesday, 15 June 2005 19:51 (twenty-one years ago)

It was ok.

Leeeeee (Leee), Wednesday, 15 June 2005 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Only the misguided hope that my watching VM will bring me closer to a crush will offer me motivation to continue watching.

Leeeeee (Leee), Wednesday, 15 June 2005 23:48 (twenty-one years ago)

i can't believe no one cares that she's naked? not like she's hotter than the sun or anything, i just didn't expect her to strip down

[that bastard] jaxon (jaxon), Thursday, 16 June 2005 00:05 (twenty-one years ago)

when is she naked?

[that bastard] jaxon (jaxon), Thursday, 16 June 2005 01:01 (twenty-one years ago)

ah, doesn't work, for me

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 16 June 2005 01:13 (twenty-one years ago)

four weeks pass...
Charisma Carpenter and Steve Guttenberg are going to have recurring guest roles next season. Charisma as an aging trophy wife and Steve Guttenberg as Woody Goodman, mayoral candidate. Which is strangely perfect in ways that I can't quite express.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 15 July 2005 04:22 (twenty years ago)

Is Charisma Carpenter considered "aging" now in Hollywood???

nickn (nickn), Friday, 15 July 2005 06:52 (twenty years ago)

Well maybe just in terms of trophy wifedom?

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 15 July 2005 07:12 (twenty years ago)

I guess it depends on how old the husband is, but isn't she 30-ish?

nickn (nickn), Friday, 15 July 2005 07:13 (twenty years ago)

She's 35.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 15 July 2005 07:13 (twenty years ago)

Steve Guttenberg! I wonder if he'll be as surprisingly awesome as Harry Hamlin was.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 15 July 2005 12:20 (twenty years ago)

I think the character Charisma is playing was described as "Bunny Lebowski ten years later" so I guess in that sense she is aging.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Friday, 15 July 2005 12:22 (twenty years ago)

Right. I worry about the role a little bit, because I always thought CC was the weak link (or, y'know, one of them) on Buffy and Angel.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 15 July 2005 12:32 (twenty years ago)

the existence of a next season is exciting.

jeffrey (johnson), Friday, 15 July 2005 16:36 (twenty years ago)

Well, fwiw I thought Alyson Hannigan was lousy on Veronica Mars and it didn't seem to hurt the show too much.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Friday, 15 July 2005 16:45 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, but she was only on for two eps. And very little even in those two. CC is going to be on for at least 6.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 15 July 2005 17:35 (twenty years ago)

Dissing CC or AH is just plain wrong.

Ian in Brooklyn, Friday, 15 July 2005 18:29 (twenty years ago)

I liked AH on Buffy, but she didn't pull off being a skank very well on VM.

CC I never liked. She was just...off her game about 50% of the time.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 15 July 2005 18:34 (twenty years ago)

the first season of this is just about to start in antartica NZ! um except it's on friday nights, which is a bad time to decamp to yr neighbours house/television. sigh. andrew/elisabeth, could you tape this for me?

etc, Friday, 15 July 2005 21:08 (twenty years ago)

STEVE GUTTENBURG? WOW, now my life is complete.

I'm mad the show didn't get any emmy nominations.

gunther heartymeal (keckles), Friday, 15 July 2005 23:04 (twenty years ago)

me too.

jeffrey (johnson), Saturday, 16 July 2005 00:47 (twenty years ago)

two weeks pass...
I've been watching on and off (I don't have complete mastery over the VCR), but the Silence Of The Lamb episode (the guitar string serial killer ep) is the first one that makes me want to watch four or five episodes in a row now.

alex in montreal (alex in montreal), Friday, 5 August 2005 01:29 (twenty years ago)

That's the worst episode, by far!

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 5 August 2005 03:31 (twenty years ago)

No it isn't. It's definitely better than the one about the next-door neighbor, or the one about the secret society at school.

The Yellow Kid, Friday, 5 August 2005 13:39 (twenty years ago)

That's funny, why the hate for the episode?

alex in montreal (alex in montreal), Saturday, 6 August 2005 20:10 (twenty years ago)

http://whedonesque.com/comments/7502

Yay!

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 12 August 2005 06:43 (twenty years ago)

season 1

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 12 August 2005 10:21 (twenty years ago)

That Whedon guy seems on the ball. he should make a show or something.

jeffrey (johnson), Friday, 12 August 2005 12:39 (twenty years ago)

He should write for V.Mars.

neptunian, Friday, 12 August 2005 17:45 (twenty years ago)

I hate the cover for that dvd. ALSO, if it doesn't come out till October 11, how is it going to be released before season 2? Is season two starting THAT LATE? Is it not being RELEASED before season 2? So many questions.

gunther heartymeal (keckles), Friday, 12 August 2005 17:51 (twenty years ago)

oh and awesome, that joss likes it.

gunther heartymeal (keckles), Friday, 12 August 2005 17:52 (twenty years ago)

it is.

jeffrey (johnson), Friday, 12 August 2005 18:07 (twenty years ago)

one month passes...
I am immensely excited about the return of this show. 1st episode is on the 28th.

jeffrey (johnson), Thursday, 22 September 2005 19:29 (twenty years ago)

Apparently Joss Whedon will be in Episode 6 of this coming season, playing "a testy, rental car manager".

alex in montreal (alex in montreal), Thursday, 22 September 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

aroused.

jeffrey (johnson), Thursday, 22 September 2005 19:45 (twenty years ago)

Is VM the best thing that Rob Thomas has done so far?

Leeeeeeeee (Leee), Thursday, 22 September 2005 20:38 (twenty years ago)

"If You're Gone" might be better.

O'so Krispie (Ex Leon), Thursday, 22 September 2005 20:55 (twenty years ago)

I am excited, too. Last night I had a DREAM that they changed the show into a sitcom with a laugh track and I was upset. That's kind of a pathetic dream.

gunther heartymeal (keckles), Friday, 23 September 2005 01:11 (twenty years ago)

Agh! I can't wait! I've seen a few clips of the premiere, and it looks utterly fantastic.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 23 September 2005 03:15 (twenty years ago)

do you still hate LOST?

RJG (RJG), Friday, 23 September 2005 03:16 (twenty years ago)

Yes. I still watch it, though. It'd be just my luck if the show got amazing the moment I stopped watching it (I like the premise, I've just hated, well, pretty much everything about the execution).

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 23 September 2005 03:21 (twenty years ago)

okay, I just wondered

RJG (RJG), Friday, 23 September 2005 03:22 (twenty years ago)

do you still love radiohead?

RJG (RJG), Friday, 23 September 2005 03:22 (twenty years ago)
