So then Milan are going to pound you
Kinda resigned to this, hoping for damage limitation and then an inspired performance in the second leg. It's Spurs in the Champions League, something ridiculous has to happen by law.

Daniel Sturridge scores. Sort of thing that could earn him a move to a club like Chelsea.

oh come on, almunia is the worst keeper in the league. he was offered for free to all clubs in europe and still no-one would take him. you'd get a buyer for green.

Wouldn't put him in our team above Hunt and Hammill when they're available now, wd take any reasonable offer in the summer. Problem is he's not a great crosser of the ball, he's another of these "wide" midfielders who are happier cutting inside, makes him pretty limited but he's still got pace and if he'd had a better left back behind him in the Prem he might've looked better. Can't help but think there must be a worse left-sided mid in the division, just can't think who.

Favourite memory was him lollygagging around the pitch in the '98 WC final. Ended up somewhere between the greatest striker of his generation and Brazil's Gazza.

"I didn't feel drained [by what happened at Liverpool] but of course you do feel wounded," Hodgson said. "I've had a very good spell in my career and it was a long while since I'd had a serious knockback in my career.
"It hasn't dented my belief or confidence but I can't lie and say it didn't hurt me or I didn't care. I've had an awful amount of praise and when you get the opposite it's not something you necessarily embrace."
Hodgson was appointed by the former owners of Liverpool, George Gillett and Tom Hicks, after guiding Fulham to the Europa League final and the club's highest finish in the Premier League. But the former Internazionale and Blackburn Rovers manager said he had not felt accepted during his short stay at Anfield and admitted to bitter disappointment over the manner of his departure.
"The people who wanted me at Liverpool didn't last too long. I think the new owners found themselves in a very difficult situation because we weren't winning enough games and the fans made it perfectly clear they wanted me gone and somebody else in," he said.

Every player has bad runs of form, Rooney's has lasted maybe ten months now. Prior to that he'd had the season of his career in terms of goalscoring at least which was just as well because for a striker at an attack-minded club blessed with lots of creative players, Rooney's goalscoring record is good but not especially great at less than a goal every two games.
that site is waste
rooney idk he is one of the best utility forwards around along with suarez and tevez
