yup, same guy, was also funny in Ghost Town. since 30 Rock has already put him in multiple roles they should really go ahead and cast him as Kenneth's brother or relative in an episode, it would just be so spot on.

Kenneth's line about the worst possible place being "IKEA on a Saturday" (or whatever it was) may be the weakest line I've heard on 30 Rock. Some good individual eps but this season isn't really cutting it, imo.

i somehow tend to see this when drunk but im pretty sure it's been funny a lot of the time. there was one the other week that was all time, with the 'uptown girl' bit. matt damon was mvp this week. otm anyone who said john cho should be in more things.

yeah this season has been gold.

also the show's sense of humor and pacing always kind of keeps me from thinking stuff like "Saturday at IKEA? that was weak" because it's not like they build up to that as a big punchline and wait for the laughs to die down before saying the next line, it's just boom boom boom didn't like that one? ok here's another boom boom boom.

yeah this season has been as strong as any other, i couldn't really pick a favorite because all five seasona have been so consistently great

yeah, i'm looking forward to when reruns start airing on Comedy Central, it'll be interesting to see if there feel like distinct greater and lesser eras in the show's history or if it's just all good

rewatching the seasons on netflix made me feel like seasons 1 and 2 are the best but its sort of a tonal thing, somewhere around mid-s2 they shifted from semi-3d characters/"realistic" plotlines to all-out farce, so if you prefer the latter it probably isnt true

I don't know, those first few episodes dealing with Tracy's nonsense seem like all-out farce to me.

There is something wrong when The Office thread is bumped on a Friday morning, but this one isn't. Not the best episode of the season, but I loled a couple times. Going to miss Tracy though, for sure.

there were bits of it i didn't particularly like ('two dorky characters start a band and write a terrible song' feels like something they usually leave to lesser shows), but it was still pretty good. loved liz's big speech at the end.

Yeah, I thought the Sound Mound thing had potential if it had gone in a different direction, but it really wasn't that funny. I thought 30 Rock could do better than the lame Yuki joke. The rest was great, I liked Liz and Anders conversation.

Going to miss Tracy though, for sure

i won't argue strenuously because there have been very few 30 Rock episodes i've actually thought after watching could be in serious running for worst, so it's not a very competitive field.

most of the weak spots were pretty nicely papered over by the roundup at the end, I thought

Not a good episode, but this show still throws in enough weekly lolz to make it worth watching. everyone's reaction to "Emily Dickinson" and all the different Meeting Magazines were pretty funny.

the best part of this episode was the framed photo of jack & tiger woods behind jack's desk

This is nowhere near being the worst 30 Rock episode ever (distinction goes to an Xmas episode from a couple seasons back).

Now see, I actually thought tonight was relatively weak.

It was better than last week's, and there were plenty of lolz, but not among the best. The Chloe Moretz thing has a lot of potential though.

OK so Kenneth officially started working at NBC in 1936, when Shirley Temple was 8 years old. Assuming he was around 18 at the time, in 2011, he's 93 years old.

well in the south in the early part of the century he could've easily held jobs as a teenager. On the other hand, he did also graduate from Kentucky Mountain Bible College. So he could've started in the NBC page program a couple years later, at 22 say. The page program was founded in 1933 (according to the wikis) so Kenneth would have joined it in its third year. At any rate, Kenneth is at least 90 years old.
