A genuine dot-matrix printout from the mid-'80s (note the authentic "Empire Strikes Back" jacket). I was probably about 9 or 10 at the time. JBR was a darling and had this framed (from whence the photo doth spring) for V-day.

i realized that she's describing how i still dress now. long dresses, leggings underneath, doc martens or black mary janes. i'm not skinny enough to look properly "indie" though; i probably look like some hippiegypsy upper west side academic from the '70s.

I was thinking of posting a pic of my 8th grade yearbook photo of me in my Halloween costume as a taxi but then I saw the actual pic and thought wtf was I thinking...

yeah, i remembered that it was on the ground level of the citicorp building so i looked up "conran's citicorp" and found a few pieces on it from the late '70s.

Me & my dad at a 'Hawaiian'-themed, church-sponsored 'daddy daughter date.' I know that is a mildly creepy name (not sure if non-Mormons ever employ this term?) but it just meant you hung out with your dad & ate some Mormony pretend Hawaiian food. I made the decorations in the background.

Ha! We had daddy daughter dinners at my (all girls) gradeschool. One year we sang "The Greatest Love of All" and I remember finding it really embarrassing.
