def one of the top 15 characters

Okay, I totally need to preface this by saying that I 100% mean this in a good way... it looks like she has put on a little weight. She's definitely v v cute, but she has always been just on that side of "too skinny" for me.

one pretty obvious guy in the obvious (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Tuesday, 8 February 2011 04:23 (fifteen years ago)

That pic is from 2009 lol.

POPTARTS!

if there is a King Moaty, apparently he is huge into slapstick. (a hoy hoy), Friday, 11 February 2011 11:31 (fifteen years ago)

"Kate Capshaw's husband?"

"walking mozzarella sticks who think that $300 and a photo ID gives them the right to fly through the air like one of the guardian owls of legend."

A Alphabetical Leader (Abbbottt), Friday, 11 February 2011 18:22 (fifteen years ago)

The guardians of ga'hoole jokes killed me.

Peyton Flanders (Nicole), Friday, 11 February 2011 18:43 (fifteen years ago)

My gf didn't believe me when I told her that Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole was a real movie.

Tyler/Perry's "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" (jaymc), Saturday, 12 February 2011 04:28 (fifteen years ago)

I saw a trailer for it in front of Toy Story 3 over the summer; I kind of actually want to see it now, but only if those audio clips were actually from the movie.

instead of a brain in the subway mila kunis going down on you (silby), Saturday, 12 February 2011 04:48 (fifteen years ago)

I couldn't tell if they were condensed paraphrases of dialogue or the actual thing. If I had to bet, I would bet the former, because they jammed soooo many Ga'Hoole vocabs into one sentence. If you enjoyed the owl dialogue in this episode, you would probably find Legend of the Guardians as entertainingly ridic as I did.

Peter Pepsi (Abbbottt), Saturday, 12 February 2011 05:08 (fifteen years ago)

yeah the high density of ridiculous made-up words (my favorite barometer for quality [I thought of it before xkcd did a comic of it]) just sounded like a gold mine

instead of a brain in the subway mila kunis going down on you (silby), Saturday, 12 February 2011 05:11 (fifteen years ago)

I really wish John Cho would get more great roles. He is great in everything I see him in. Would love to see someone make a Bourne/Bond-esque thing with him going undercover in China as a suave motherfucker spy.

if there is a King Moaty, apparently he is huge into slapstick. (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 12 February 2011 07:25 (fifteen years ago)

well, dude WAS sulu. and will be again.

being on flashforward must have eaten up some time that could have been used at being awesome somewhere else.

j., Saturday, 12 February 2011 08:17 (fifteen years ago)

frankly, mr. cankly (Pillbox), Saturday, 12 February 2011 12:23 (fifteen years ago)

Less packaging!

"maybe you want to fly this plane yourself? well good luck pressing 'take off,' then 'autopilot,' THEN 'land'"

also just realized that john cho's canadian character is named "lorne"

congratulations (n/a), Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:15 (fifteen years ago)

matt damon's been real funny in this, sad to see him go

sonderangerbot, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:21 (fifteen years ago)

milk comes in all the regular containers in canada and the bags, at least in new scotland

ice cr?m, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:23 (fifteen years ago)

The milk in bags was one of my favorite things about Canada.

ENBB, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:24 (fifteen years ago)

High praise.

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:29 (fifteen years ago)

ice cr?m, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:31 (fifteen years ago)

there's just somethin ain't right about liquids being sold in bags

frankly, mr. cankly (Pillbox), Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:31 (fifteen years ago)

lol Joe

haha I mean, don't get me wrong, there was other good stuff too but I went to make coffee at my friend's place and was, "OMG your milk! IT IS IN A BAG!".

ENBB, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:34 (fifteen years ago)

Pillbox the bag then gets hooked to a pitcher so you actually pour out of the pitcher.

ENBB, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:35 (fifteen years ago)

yeah but what if someone bumps into you on the subway or something - pop! sploosh! milk everywhere!

frankly, mr. cankly (Pillbox), Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:36 (fifteen years ago)

we had it in Waitrose briefly but then they got rid of it due to poor sales.

Gukbe, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:40 (fifteen years ago)

people in canada are nice enough not to bump into others, duh

mizzell, Saturday, 12 February 2011 16:41 (fifteen years ago)

Carol: I will waste you!
Liz: You'll have to go through this old bastard first.

also, that line about "we're airplane folk now" or whatever killed me

Darin, Saturday, 12 February 2011 18:23 (fifteen years ago)

btw had a total "that guy" moment with Stuart the flight attendant, but he's not on the episode's IMDb page yet.

oh wait just realized, same actor as the hotel clerk at Liz's 30th reunion.

yup, same guy, was also funny in Ghost Town. since 30 Rock has already put him in multiple roles they should really go ahead and cast him as Kenneth's brother or relative in an episode, it would just be so spot on.

R. L. Steen's HOOSbumps (some dude), Saturday, 12 February 2011 20:12 (fifteen years ago)

Ha, I never thought about milk bags being Canadian ("new idea"!). My parents always got them. I always buy cartons anyway.

The standoff in the plane was epic.

BEDROOM DUTIES, FOR INSTANCE PAINTING THE BEDROOM

Oh God, I choked on this.

James Mitchell, Monday, 14 February 2011 13:10 (fifteen years ago)

Kenneth's line about the worst possible place being "IKEA on a Saturday" (or whatever it was) may be the weakest line I've heard on 30 Rock. Some good individual eps but this season isn't really cutting it, imo.

Stevie T, Monday, 14 February 2011 13:21 (fifteen years ago)

i somehow tend to see this when drunk but im pretty sure it's been funny a lot of the time. there was one the other week that was all time, with the 'uptown girl' bit. matt damon was mvp this week. otm anyone who said john cho should be in more things.

The image post from the hilarious "markers" internet persona (history mayne), Monday, 14 February 2011 13:23 (fifteen years ago)

yeah this season has been gold.

also the show's sense of humor and pacing always kind of keeps me from thinking stuff like "Saturday at IKEA? that was weak" because it's not like they build up to that as a big punchline and wait for the laughs to die down before saying the next line, it's just boom boom boom didn't like that one? ok here's another boom boom boom.

DINPLINGS! (some dude), Monday, 14 February 2011 14:20 (fifteen years ago)

yeah this season has been as strong as any other, i couldn't really pick a favorite because all five seasona have been so consistently great

kl0p's son (k3vin k.), Monday, 14 February 2011 14:34 (fifteen years ago)

yeah, i'm looking forward to when reruns start airing on Comedy Central, it'll be interesting to see if there feel like distinct greater and lesser eras in the show's history or if it's just all good
