attempting to lolblog. staring at the screen and pacing. really just waiting for SNL because I'm sad like that. trying to avoid cranking out the beer as I want to stay up for the Australian Open Men's Final, which would mean being up until (possibly) 6 or 7 AM.

just took the Browns to the Super Bowl on Madden (no, I don't mean I shit on my Madden game, I literally took the Browns to the....aww fuck off).

Had a 10 point lead, choked and lost it. teh shit gets so realistic that I feel like my team actually lost the SB and I'm inconsolable for like 10-15 mins.

taking a team through a whole season is a very emotional process. no shame there brother.

but it's like on the old generation Madden games, I always sat there going 'eh it's a game'.

I maen the level of realism on the XBOX 360 version, what with the animations and such, sometimes I forget I'm playing a game. even find myself talking football strategy out loud and figure out where I'm going to find a hole in the defense, have had to learn a lot about reading defenses just to be an effective QB.

I wish the Wii version looked as good as the Xbox version. I'm not buying and Xbox just to play Madden, though.

Just went to a Japanese fashion show that ended way earlier than I thought it would. Ridiculously cute girl way eyeing me & I her all night but I saw her with some admittedly much more handsome dude so I left. I'm at the bus-stop and I go fuck it, I NEED HER, and go all the way back claiming I lost my phone. she b gone :(

elaborate on your heroic efforts. don't think i've ever bailed, or been requested to bail, a dude out of the awkwardly awkward. most guys i know, self included, just stick it out & usually end w/ a pretty good story to tell afterwards.

it wasn't that interesting, he had already bailed and just wanted to hang out for a bit instead of going home early on a sat. night

Actually I'm with Ned on this one. Rohmer's Love in the Afternoon, hilarious-in-retrospect ambitions to sit down and make a mix has led to having a few beers and listening to music.

kinda miss going out but slim pickins here.

I just returned from an extremely crowded evening at my local bar watching two hot local bands. I went early, snagged a bar seat with my current book, and watched the chaos ensue. I talked to some friends. It was a great example of a boring evening in exciting surroundings.

Can't wait to have boring Saturday evenings by my own choice!!

Napped for 3 hrs, woke up and watched HGTV and Res Evil IV. Truly dire.

Ostensibly lonely sunday made a lot less lonely by sharing new music and email ping pong and quiet happiness. Kind of dont want to go to work tomorrow or ever again.

Empty apartment, shitty weather but it's not like I ever go out anyway. Spent the day dicking around in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (I am king of SimRome now) and watching stuff on Netflix (Dead Space movie- dogshit, Murder By Death- almost as good as I remember from the last time I saw it, jesus, 15 years ago?)
