i thought it was a mid-level season 5 episode tbh, i.e. an entry level episode overall

the pretaped disaster benefit concept was pretty reminiscent of the SNL sketch with Dana Carvey as Tom Brokaw pretaping all the potential presidential death scenarios

Belzer and Ice-T was incredible

I can tell that, in a lot of ways, this wasn't a great episode. It recycled old gags (Kenneth is nice and Jack can't handle it, Tracy/Jenna competition) and not to any great effect. And yet, I still laughed like a hyena. I wonder if this show has moved beyond any advanced critical faculties I have.

or maybe I just love it every time Brian Williams shows up.

I say just switch Community and Perfect Couples. Outsourced is gross but it's a perfect fit for the local news crowd. Then at 10:30 I can watch Archer and everything is beautiful.
