― Gukbe, Friday, 28 January 2011 06:48 (fifteen years ago)
deniros british accent was horrible
― max, Friday, 28 January 2011 06:50 (fifteen years ago)
which made it funnier...
― VegemiteGrrrl, Friday, 28 January 2011 06:51 (fifteen years ago)
so many killer lines but the one about the 'miracle flood' slayed
― Lamp, Friday, 28 January 2011 06:53 (fifteen years ago)
like its such an obv joke in retrospect but damn did i lol
― Lamp, Friday, 28 January 2011 06:54 (fifteen years ago)
I'm pretty sure at this point that the show pushes for bad accents. The worse, the funnier.
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 28 January 2011 07:07 (fifteen years ago)
yeah what on earth accent was the reality TV show guy meant to be?
― Not the real Village People, Friday, 28 January 2011 07:09 (fifteen years ago)

It was a little frantic, even by 30 Rock standards, but it had so many solid jokes.
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 28 January 2011 09:15 (fifteen years ago)
Show's a parody of itself now. Considering giving up on it.
― Balls is significantly to the left of Brown (Autumn Almanac), Friday, 28 January 2011 09:17 (fifteen years ago)
This episode was very very strong. It's been a long time since 30 Rock has had an episode this funny
"I'll do it! But I don't like this dress."

No it didn't. I laughed pretty much through this whole episode except when he was on. If I wanted to see someone do Australian Cockney I can watch Anthony LaPaglia on Frasier.

So I'm watching this ep on Hulu and the commercials are for Foundation Rwanda.. Is that a karma double reversal?

deniro had me laughing when he started reading all the disaster scenarios.
― scott seward, Friday, 28 January 2011 13:39 (fifteen years ago)
thought it was a lame episode.
― Cultivating a manly musk puts your opponents on notice (chrisv2010), Friday, 28 January 2011 13:44 (fifteen years ago)
the pretaped disaster benefit concept was pretty reminiscent of the SNL sketch with Dana Carvey as Tom Brokaw pretaping all the potential presidential death scenarios

Good to see Hannibal Burress as the reality TV Tracy. He writes for 30 Rock now, I only recently discovered his standup.

I am totally o_O at people who didn't like this episode. I don't think I've spent a solid half hour laughing as much as I did here. DeNiro's accent was horrible and not funny but completely redeemed by reading the disaster list. So much to laugh at, I really think you should just give up on TV comedy 100% if you hated this episode. It was so frantic and OTT, but man, if you don't like that in 30 Rock you are probably watching a show that isn't for you anyway.

― J0rdan S., Friday, 28 January 2011 20:29 (fifteen years ago)

there was that episode where she wore revealing clothing and ate lollipops and other things also may have happened
and yet caring abt people thinking someone is one of the funniest 15 characters on a tv show seems oddly FETISHISTIC
― ice cr?m, Friday, 28 January 2011 21:40 (fifteen years ago)
thanks for clearing that up, I was worried that J0rdan was taking issue with those of us who happen to find v attractrive women v attractive

OTM. This was wall-to-wall laffs. This is probably among the ten episodes I would show someone to convince them of 30 Rock's greatness.

seeing as how I'm in such a bad mood tonight I'm willing to bet people weren't in the right mood when they saw it
― homeless romantic (CaptainLorax), Saturday, 29 January 2011 05:33 (fifteen years ago)
oh okay, it was just that you never said you liked anything about it, only that you hated Tracy
We do it. I can stand them (barely) but 'er indoors can't and won't.
His acting's shite and his subplots are frequently unintelligent, boring and completely inconsequential.
