I've only ever driven through, and it didn't strike me as such (from the road, in my car). But I could be TOTALLY wrong.

well, it is hard to judge a city in a drive-thru visit, for sure. knoxville rules.

- a train trestle off Neyland Drive
- a house on Church and Henley
- the parking lot on the left just after the underpass as you come down Blount Ave from Henley St
- too many West Knoxville subdivisions to name
- the woods

Knoxville has many beautiful spots for romance, imo. That isn't what this dumb Amazon thing is about, but I would agree that there are some great spots around town for dates and romancin'.

I would think large sales of romance novels, "Love Actually" DVDs, and vibrators imply the opposite of romance - maybe something more along the lines that Knoxville has the second-largest population of sad and lonely females in the country. The fact that Murfreesboro and Clarksville and 8th and 17th on the list lends some credence to this theory.
