i think tho the real dress of the episode may have been blair's little red yellow and black thing

Surmounter, Wednesday, 3 December 2008 16:54 (seventeen years ago)

it was v cute.

lauren, Wednesday, 3 December 2008 16:58 (seventeen years ago)

holy jesus this week's episode. i was drunk, but still. chuck bass.

nataschakristin, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 02:46 (seventeen years ago)

only saw the end of this. i don't like the guy serena's dating.

ian, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 02:49 (seventeen years ago)

after seeing the ridiculous brando pretender, i switched it off and take it all back.

gabbneb, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 02:50 (seventeen years ago)

i don't really get why women love chuck bass.
is it just because he's rich and dresses like a dandy?

ian, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 02:55 (seventeen years ago)

also, i think i need to add this show to the list of things not to watch cuz too bleak, along with law & order and the news.

ian, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 03:01 (seventeen years ago)

Women love Chuck Bass? I find him pretty repellent. Actually, at this point I find all the guys on the show apart from Rufus pretty repellent.

Maria, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 03:06 (seventeen years ago)

wow im the opposite. cant stand rufus or dan or serenas man. like chuck and nate just fine.

RADNESS UNLIMITED! (sunny successor), Tuesday, 9 December 2008 03:33 (seventeen years ago)

Chuck's still too good at seeming slimy, even though he's less one-dimensional and kind of entertaining with Blair. Nate just has no character at this point apart from bouncing between women, he just seems like a prop for them.

Maria, Tuesday, 9 December 2008 03:36 (seventeen years ago)

yeah true. so is he rich again now daddy is in jail?

RADNESS UNLIMITED! (sunny successor), Tuesday, 9 December 2008 03:43 (seventeen years ago)

this episode was great, and the preview of the next ep had me in stitches - chuck bass as the lizard king. what i'd really like is a blair, chuck, and dorota show. more melodrama, please.

lauren, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:00 (seventeen years ago)

otm except i could take or leave nate really.

my sister just talked me back into watching this show. it needs 500% more chuck and blair.

horseshoe, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:07 (seventeen years ago)

in my limited viewing, chuck bass seems like the kind of guy who takes his ball and goes home because he'll never be as entertaining as jeremy darling

gabbneb, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:11 (seventeen years ago)

start making cents

Lamp, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:18 (seventeen years ago)

this episode was great, and the preview of the next ep had me in stitches

this episode was pretty hilarious too lotsa corny bad acting pretty lol also the dad's turtle neck was ultralulz

Lamp, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:24 (seventeen years ago)

i'm really going to miss bart's constipated glare of evil. i hope wallace shawn sticks around.

lauren, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:38 (seventeen years ago)

should i watch this tonight or go have a ridiculous night out??

i need to see my aaron

Surmounter, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:40 (seventeen years ago)

you're young. go out. i'm old and can stay home with bourbon.

lauren, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:41 (seventeen years ago)

i dont care if yr 105 and senile and yr children are stealing yr riches like brooke astor always chose ridiculous night out

Lamp, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:43 (seventeen years ago)

ok i'm going to trust you guys on this one. the episode can wait but i'm excited!

Surmounter, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 01:44 (seventeen years ago)

updates on all fronts: my ridiculous night was well-warranted, and this episode was amazing! wtf @ blair making me bawl

but i have to say i find chuck's acting agitating and flat.

SO HAPPY W SERENA'S DECISION. good girl.

Surmounter, Thursday, 11 December 2008 18:42 (seventeen years ago)

haha, aaron is SUCH an ass. loved his implication that serena's stepfather's sudden death and her family's implosion etc were poor reasons for refusing his surprise offer of a trip, departing immediately.

lauren, Thursday, 11 December 2008 19:17 (seventeen years ago)

i want to marry him.

ohh he just knew she wanted to hang around dan. he has to protect his woman.

Surmounter, Thursday, 11 December 2008 19:20 (seventeen years ago)

his woman who doesn't want to be with him!

lauren, Thursday, 11 December 2008 19:21 (seventeen years ago)

DEBATABLE. she was SO into it until dan started playing all puppy-in-the-time-of-need

Surmounter, Thursday, 11 December 2008 19:22 (seventeen years ago)

she was so into it until aaron decided he was so into her and got all creepy "i'm your man" on her. but hey, i can't stand him and hope that he gets written out of the show asap (maybe he can fall into the iguazu falls while they're vacationing?) so anything i say should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

lauren, Thursday, 11 December 2008 19:25 (seventeen years ago)

grains of salt all around then, cuz every time i look at him I GET HEART PALPITATIONS

he needs to get all "i'm your man" on me. it's xmas and i don't ask for much

Surmounter, Thursday, 11 December 2008 19:27 (seventeen years ago)

i know; it's like point/counterpoint: aaron rose.

lauren, Thursday, 11 December 2008 19:28 (seventeen years ago)

Ugh, I do not get Aaron. At all. He's boring and wooden and needs a haircut and Serena is always way too tense around him. This episode was fantastic though, and I actually cried during the Blair holding/consoling Chuck scene. (Not so great considering I was watching this on my ipod in the News International canteen.)

marianna lcl, Thursday, 11 December 2008 23:20 (seventeen years ago)

well ya know what, i don't know what else to say. even my little cousin, who is related to me, doesn't like aaron. so i think i have some kind of fucked up gene.

anyway i hear he's not coming back with the show in jan. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

Surmounter, Thursday, 25 December 2008 05:02 (seventeen years ago)

i'm going to miss his little gay wooden needs a haircut ADORABLENESS. but what the fuck can i do. nothing. nothing at all.

Surmounter, Thursday, 25 December 2008 05:03 (seventeen years ago)

RI fuckin P

Surmounter, Thursday, 25 December 2008 05:06 (seventeen years ago)

Underwhelming. Strung out Chuck equals boring Chuck.

Also, the Serena and Dan thing was too easy. They should have let Dan find out first, and then deny Serena.

Spencer Chow, Tuesday, 6 January 2009 05:55 (seventeen years ago)

three weeks pass...

definitely an underwhelming return (that episode where chuck's on the roof). boring chuck.

BUT the episode after that was GREAT. the chuck + lily union is awesome. when he saves her in the restroom, that acting on her part really shook me, when she thanks him as she's being escorted out.

good times.

Surmounter, Thursday, 29 January 2009 16:22 (seventeen years ago)

also serena's still lookin pretty busty

Surmounter, Thursday, 29 January 2009 16:23 (seventeen years ago)

i kind of in love with chuck. i probably already said that. i did like that line about the the note from his father probably asking 'why do you wear so much purple?'

tacos, fettucini, linguini, martini, bikini. (sunny successor), Thursday, 29 January 2009 17:55 (seventeen years ago)

ending narration by kristen bell was written as nonsensical as grey's anatomy or heroes. not that it's a problem, just an observation.

Gukbe, Thursday, 29 January 2009 18:04 (seventeen years ago)

also glad comically shit jack bass is kaput

Gukbe, Thursday, 29 January 2009 18:04 (seventeen years ago)

haha yeah the ending was bizarre, though i can't remember exactly what she said. i just remember we were like um, what

Surmounter, Thursday, 29 January 2009 18:06 (seventeen years ago)

i finally started watching this! it's okay.

Nathalie (stevienixed), Thursday, 29 January 2009 18:44 (seventeen years ago)

I haven't seen this thread until now(I think). I love the fact that the same people who occupied the OC thread are writing in this thread :)

Gotta say that I find this show way more entertaining(apart from the first season of the OC maybe), and prettier to look at compared to the OC.

he actually looks really cute there :)

Surmounter, Thursday, 29 January 2009 19:40 (seventeen years ago)

~~(*_*)~~

warmsherry, Thursday, 29 January 2009 20:06 (seventeen years ago)

chuck bass was in son of rambow and i was like wauenglish!

this show is more consistently campy fun than the o.c., but seasons 1 and 4 still >>>>>>gossip girl

Gukbe, Thursday, 29 January 2009 20:28 (seventeen years ago)

that gif is golden

tacos, fettucini, linguini, martini, bikini. (sunny successor), Thursday, 29 January 2009 20:47 (seventeen years ago)

this was a rerun this week, wasn't it?

akm, Thursday, 29 January 2009 21:00 (seventeen years ago)

yeh, just a rerun. ep 2.17 on monday. rumour is chuck and blair are getting back together, again.

yungblut, Thursday, 29 January 2009 23:52 (seventeen years ago)

funniest part of this ep was when nate and vanessa started playing their own version of the Eyes Wide Shut piano music at that mansion.

overall, kind of a routine episode, slightly daft -- i don't like blair.
