Would an Indian's man, do?

Mooro (Mooro), Sunday, 30 January 2005 18:20 (twenty-one years ago)

very nice photos, Ally C. I would excelsior the dash-dot exchange (culminating with The Morsefox's post!) if I were not so lazy.

youn, Sunday, 30 January 2005 18:28 (twenty-one years ago)

so, i have a ticket booked on national express from liverpool to glasgow on the 20th.

yes, liverpool. don't ask.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 3 February 2005 15:48 (twenty-one years ago)

No return ticket? Most unwise.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 3 February 2005 15:55 (twenty-one years ago)

i might stay forever!!

but probably not. someone else is handling all of that. i think she's taken the need to get back to london into account. i'm certainly not going back to liverpool.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 3 February 2005 15:57 (twenty-one years ago)

stay forever lauren!

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 3 February 2005 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

stay forever!

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 3 February 2005 16:45 (twenty-one years ago)

staying in glasgow forever would probably take like 30yrs off my life expectancy. and i mean that in a good way.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 3 February 2005 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

We will all hate you when you're old. Stay forever.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 3 February 2005 19:14 (twenty-one years ago)

-- RJG (r_gil...), February 5th, 2004 2:41 AM. (RJG) (5 trackbacks)

Glasgow has been tried more for one year today.

Happy Birthday Trying Glasgow More

Onimo (GerryNemo), Saturday, 5 February 2005 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Aww. A shame RJG has gone Swiss.

Dot To Dot, in the studio, tonight. It could all go howwibly wong.

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 5 February 2005 16:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I met tim finney yesterday. I forgot to say.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 5 February 2005 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Tell us about Dot 2 Dot, in the studio, last night.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Sunday, 6 February 2005 09:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I, 2, wish 2 hear about .2.. In the studio.

Moorover, I wish to hear .2., in my ears (2).

Ally, do you have a recording or 2, that you could send 2 me, please?

Mooro (Mooro), Sunday, 6 February 2005 11:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Like Gilbert, we will. Soon.

Dot TO Dot in the studio, last night. 8pm-3.45am. A 'session', no doubt.
What took the most number of takes? Patrick's 15 seconds of harmonica, fading out. 'When do you want it from?' 'About 3.15' had the crowd in raptures. Documentary evidence may be available, some day.

I heard things I had never heard before. Strange. Nice. I like it, pretty much. Two songs. 'Any Day But Tuesday' and 'Upside'.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 6 February 2005 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Thsi excites me hugely (not just the bit about Patrick and his harmonica).

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 6 February 2005 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

That is very late, at night.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Monday, 7 February 2005 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

It was booked until 6am! I say they is wusses.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Although they were not allowed to drink anything.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:17 (twenty-one years ago)

This reminds me of that Natasha Bedingfield song, the one what goes, 'you know, I had some studio time booked, but I just couldn't find the right hook'. Except here it would be, 'but I just couldn't get the mouth organ bit right'.

Peter Stringbender (PJ Miller), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:40 (twenty-one years ago)

It was the last thing, on the record. Fatigue will be the excuse. Pictures, maybe later.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 13:49 (twenty-one years ago)

As promised.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 18:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, I suppose those aren't really that exciting. I'm just documenting, here.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 18:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that SAE?

scotstvo (scotstvo), Monday, 7 February 2005 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes!

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 18:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Shurely SACB?

(Sensational Ally Cook Band)

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 7 February 2005 20:18 (twenty-one years ago)

patrick's t-shirt doesn't have an ! and it should.

I have never told him this, to his face.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 7 February 2005 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

You're missing pancakes, tomorrow, RJG. I hope you're having a nice time anyway.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

We are having pancakes tomorrow too.

I guess I should document that the Renfrew branch of the Try Glasgow More bunch tried Madchen's Sunday lunch more yesterday. It was grebt. Renfrew wants to try some Glasgow more in return. All of you. Give us names and a suitable date. I fancy some mass catering, but only if I can borrow Madchen's ice cream maker (but i can make a mean lemon meringue pie if this is not an option).

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I did some recording in there once. Very nice.

scotstvo (scotstvo), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

how do you make pancakes?

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Pancake mix in tesco = 11p a bag. It works (and there are instructions on the pack)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 7 February 2005 21:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Or:

100g of flour, a pinch of salt, 300ml milk, 1 egg.

Put flour and salt in a mixing bowl, make a little hole in the middle, put the egg in and half the milk, mix it until it's smooth, gradually adding in the rest of the milk as you do so. Voila.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:03 (twenty-one years ago)

voila!

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Now you are ready, my son. Go pancake.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 7 February 2005 22:06 (twenty-one years ago)

(leave to stand for an hour)

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 10:30 (twenty-one years ago)

pancakes, schmancakes.

I have sunburn.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:15 (twenty-one years ago)

You set fire to a newspaper?

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Nice!

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

That was awful. RJg you only left us £190. You pig!

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 17:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Only enough for 2 upper case letters :(

Mooro (Mooro), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Does anyone think that the famous Glasgow "patter" would flow better on a shiny new thread. Even broadband's having trouble keeping up with this gargantuan beast of a thread...

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I think starting a new thread goes against the spirit of this thread.

If you change the Show Messages bit in your Setting to 'Last 50 Answers', it gets less gargantuan.

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

more try glasgow more

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, can we have pancake day again, for RJG (and me)?

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks for that. That's much better.

KeithW (kmw), Tuesday, 8 February 2005 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)
