When you're too numbed out to feel true pleasure anymore, letting a maniac rant about their particular obsession for a little while can at least be momentarily diverting, especially if you don't share their obsession. I was getting some k1w1f4rms concern trolling vibes but they seem like a possibly less harmful rando on a mission. Following the whole Tegan & Sara stalker thing, which yes, I only read about and have not yet watched the documentary, internet weirdos stalking musicians and creating their own fan (or enemy) fic seems less quirky and more unhealthy

Half a bit, probably. I get the novelty of the trainwreck of someone swinging in to post such a weird defense of a truly unlikeable artists. But when that becomes the most action the music side of the board has had in months, well, it doesn't say much good about the overall health of ilm.

I mean, have fun, just kind of sad that this person is provoking so much interest while so many other, better, more thoughtful and worthwhile threads get bumped like twice a week over on ilm.

Eh, I don't have much to say about a lot of the other threads on ILM. I haven't really engaged with the CocoRosie ILM thread, but the new CocoRosie board has been a fun distraction today because it feels like an older, sillier era of ILX.

Obviously I say this mostly as a lurker with less of a stake in the daily health of the board, but the appearance of a guy with a Homeland / Pepe Silvia-level corkboard tracing the financial genealogy of this act, of all acts, has a lot of the qualities of a perfect bit even when it's not actually a bit
