someplace warm?

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

But not boys' beds?

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:25 (twenty-one years ago)

those are always cold, cold.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:25 (twenty-one years ago)

So, hang on. NY women always say there are no straight single men in the city. In winter, all the women migrate, leaving the city full of gay men and lonely husbands? It sounds awesome.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

It's true. We all flock to Brazil for several months.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

gay men, lonely husbands, and like us dorks. Altho actually I think maybe married women stick around, I'm not sure.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

t.v. dinner consumption skyrockets, and most men don't bother getting out of their pajamas.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Young men in flimsy pyjamas that leave little to the imagination: classic or dud?

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

well see okay that just sounds like my normal routine, regardless of season. Esp. when I'm unemployed.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

please don't imagine that.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

mmm unemployed

g--ff (gcannon), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Too late. Nice baby doll, hstencil.

WOT'S ON YER HEAD NALATIE PROTMAN?

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I've always wondered where the women go during winter, too.

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)

that's a tea cozy.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)

The expression on her face is giving me the fear.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Lust for Hayden explains that look.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm reading that signal, and it's sayin' "RUN!"

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

and/or "KEEP LIQUIDS WARM!"

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

LICK MY TEACUP EARS VADER

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:44 (twenty-one years ago)

she'd better have the bun hair in ROTS

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Bun hair that rots?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

LICK MY TEACUP EARS VADER

That's the much vaunted Episode VII, I think.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I've always wondered where the women go during winter, too.
-- oops (don'temailmenicelad...), August 10th, 2004 7:40 PM. (later)

they come party at my house.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

you wish.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

(I wish that too)

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

this thread gave me a flashback to college during that 'first day of warm weather' when all the girls immediately bust out the suggestive clothing..

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:13 (twenty-one years ago)

"flashback" is what they're calling it now?

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:14 (twenty-one years ago)

this thread gave me a flashback to college during that 'first day of warm weather' when all the girls immediately bust out the suggestive clothing..

Sometimes on these days, I make sure to take the route to work that goes through Northwestern U.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:20 (twenty-one years ago)

i like winter. i have a cute hat lined with bunny fur.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:20 (twenty-one years ago)

On "that day" of summer y'all are talking about, me and this other pervy old man for the past couple years have a spot on UK campus that is ostensibly a "park" where we pour 40s of malt liquor into 44 oz. soft drink cups and sit and drink OE while playing songs on out of tune guitars while watching said summer clothed ladies from the shadows of our sunglasses. We are soooo sneaky hyuck hyuck.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:23 (twenty-one years ago)

you know so much fun is being made of you, right?

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I think part of Nickalicious's charm is surely the fact that not only does he totally know this, he embraces it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:30 (twenty-one years ago)

hstencil just told me that sounds mean. i meant it more affectionately than viciously. sorry.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Women are so hard to read.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

from a guy, I could take this criticism. From a girl, I'd give up after hearing it.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

i was playing with my hair when i typed that.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:32 (twenty-one years ago)

"Is she kneeing me in the balls more affectionately or viciously, I wonder?"

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:32 (twenty-one years ago)

N.B. I have never been kneed (kneeed?) in the balls by a woman.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

One of the songs we play is "We Are The Champions".

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Then we play the opening riff from that one Led Zeppelin song that goes "hey lady, got the love I need" over and over again for like 45 minutes while mesmerized by ass.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:35 (twenty-one years ago)

this just gets worse and worse.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

ha ha

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

"worse"

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

i think i retract my apology.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

this thread gave me a flashback to college during that 'first day of warm weather' when all the girls immediately bust out the suggestive clothing..

FLIMSY HIPPIE ASS SUNDRESSES ARE STUPID AND LAME.
-- Allyzay Science Explosion (alk210...), August 10th, 2004. (later)

Sorry, Ally, but you are incorrect. Sundresses are hot in general, but I will do anything for a girl wearing one of pale yellow. So beautiful. So see through.

Ian c=====8 (orion), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Dude, I think amateurist is right though, skirt+shirt is way hotter, and hotter still are those geisha girl dresses.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Dud dud dud. It's usually ultra-skinny, flimsy girls wearing them anyway.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:55 (twenty-one years ago)

It is? They are? There were no good ones. But if you search google.com images for "summer dress" there's an, ahem, nice image on the third page. Which is apt.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:34 (twenty-one years ago)

How come you can surf for pr0n at work, Nick?

This thread promised so much but has only occasionally delivered, thus far.

robster (robster), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:35 (twenty-one years ago)

It's not porn! It's google! God knows how it got through their checks.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:37 (twenty-one years ago)

is there a name for the dress that maggie wears in that photo?

It's called a cheongsam, and is associated with China/Taiwan/Hong Kong. Geishas are Japanese, so they would wear a kimono.

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Get back to work, you.

xpost yes you Robster, you cheeky scamp.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I like this dress:

No u r not.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:45 (twenty-one years ago)

well he is in that a girl in jeans and jacket can be just as hot as this oldtime dress paraphenalia...

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:46 (twenty-one years ago)

JEANS AND STRAPPY VEST TOPS OMG WTF

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:47 (twenty-one years ago)

the (now left) (possibly due to my pervage) cutest girl in the office used to wear the cutest bobble hat, and a kinda matching pastel blue and white striped scarf and grey medium length jacket OMG. she was practically asking me to give her a hug so she can keep me warm. and then once i'm warmed up the clothes can come off. phwore.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 12:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Ken, are you some sort of twee-ist?

Ricardo (RickyT), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 13:03 (twenty-one years ago)

You did that didn't you Ken? That's why she left isn't it?

Dave B (daveb), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 13:09 (twenty-one years ago)

yes.

(to both questions)

I don't think anyone ever mentioned that the type of dress Maggie Cheung is wearing in the "In the Mood for Love" poster is called a cheongsam.

In case anyone was still wondering, ya know...
