o'leary built a team of overrepped arrogant self-rating childish cunts in his own image at leeds then released an autobiography slagging elements of the club (already going down the tubes) while still manager. Nothin ever his fault, they're all just his babbies.

Hate him, the cunt. If not for eddie gray he'd never have been anythin but a serviceable pub landlord

ummm he had a decent fucking playing career still... oh yeah, spurs fan.

'moi babies'/'not about the money or pennies' = hate

their run was exhilirating while it lasted, mind

Ismael Klata, Friday, 17 December 2010 18:13 (fifteen years ago)

they were a great team, in the short term.

O'Leary always seemed kinda like those flipping annoyingly chipper managers at work who refuse to really admit that anything is going wrong, because that would mean admitting they'd failed to manage the situation?

Every interview was like "I thought we played very well. We conceded five or six soft goals, but-"

Sgt's Laughter (Sgt. Biscuits), Friday, 17 December 2010 18:26 (fifteen years ago)

^^^ Hodgson school of PR

Rage Against the Man-Cream (Noodle Vague), Friday, 17 December 2010 18:26 (fifteen years ago)

oleary always seemed like the chip on the shoulder managers that never had anything go wrong that was their fault

# Might watch 'The NeverEnding Story' to cheer me up. I love that fluffy, flying dragon character. He looks a bit like Ken Bates. 23 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone

# I should be up to my neck in Blackburn muff by this time on a Friday. Instead I'm eating a Cadbury's selection box alone. 25 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone

"Arsenal frighten me, but that is true of all the clubs in the draw," said Guardiola "I will be a little calmer when I start to watch their games if I can see any weaknesses."

didn't he see any last time they played?

nax arrrrrgh (nakhchivan), Friday, 17 December 2010 19:59 (fifteen years ago)

why would he?

when i'm a top top manager the space between games will be tatal immersion in the next opposition. Not random matches sure

At 11.30am on Saturday, the match is still on. However, weather conditions are still changing and the situation is being continually assessed by Club officials.
Putting on my snood for the chance to chant at Shawcross.

James Mitchell, Saturday, 18 December 2010 12:01 (fifteen years ago)

Gah, it's off.

James Mitchell, Saturday, 18 December 2010 12:11 (fifteen years ago)

I'm still hoping 5 Live are wrong even though there's apparently four inches of snow on the pitch. Maybe Pat Rice could whack the undersoil heating way up and set Shawcross on fire.

James Mitchell, Saturday, 18 December 2010 12:26 (fifteen years ago)

this is the first time i have watched football focus... this season i think? and oh my god this is what i hate about bbc football coverage all covered in 1 go. depressing music, shots of chelsea going through a little bit of a rough patch, making it seem like their own fucking hillsbrough. its a team that won the fucking league last season, i'm sure they + their fans won't be jumping off building just because they are 3rd.

football is a sport in perpetual crisis - crisis is how the sport is mediated - only barcelona are exempt from this

GRAHAM Taylor says he will be boycotting turkey and chicken this Christmas in protest at the decision by Blackburn Rovers owners Venky's to sack Sam Allardyce.

[...]

“For the first time in many, many years I will be having roast beef for Christmas dinner rather than turkey or chicken,” he said.

“It will be my protest against what is happening at Blackburn Rovers and what is happening to our football in this country.

Chelsea are 4th. Don't understate this.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 18 December 2010 12:56 (fifteen years ago)

what a nightmare for the poor bairns, must be murder supporting a club in 4th place

baubles to the wall (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 18 December 2010 12:58 (fifteen years ago)

that would mean a qualifying round for the Champions League, it's really no laughing matter

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 18 December 2010 13:00 (fifteen years ago)

meanwhile, Blackburn 10/1 to go down caught my eye yesterday

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 18 December 2010 13:01 (fifteen years ago)

irish xmas caek, get that marzipan inta ya (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 18 December 2010 13:04 (fifteen years ago)

The snow is a FIFA conspiracy to make people watch the World Club Championship.

James Mitchell, Saturday, 18 December 2010 13:14 (fifteen years ago)

Incredible save from Craig Gordon the only thing worth seeing in this game.

ailsa, Saturday, 18 December 2010 13:31 (fifteen years ago)

Cattermole, on a yellow card which is how he starts most second halfs tbf, goes in late on Elmander's ankle. Chris Foy see it. Winces. Does nothing. FFS.

prop joe cole (pandemic), Saturday, 18 December 2010 14:01 (fifteen years ago)

there are no good referees in the Premier League. objective fact.

baubles to the wall (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 18 December 2010 14:02 (fifteen years ago)

ooooooo dear

One who would turn all to rodman (acoleuthic), Saturday, 18 December 2010 14:40 (fifteen years ago)

cattermole needs to be curstomped into a coma and fed to dogs

nakhchivan, Saturday, 18 December 2010 15:01 (fifteen years ago)

is that when it's actually the dogs doing the stomping?

Dear Customer,

Ensuring that you receive your order in time for Christmas is our number one priority.

The recent weather conditions have resulted in backlogs across the entire UK for our delivery partners, but we are in constant communication with them and are working around the clock to make sure that orders with an estimated delivery time before December 24, arrive in time for Christmas.

We are currently experiencing an increased volume of e-mails and phone calls into our customer service centre. This is causing delays to our usual speed of response but rest assured, we are working through all enquiries in order of receipt.

There are some useful self-service links that allow you to see the details of your order and its current status. You can access these by visiting Your Account.

If your order has already been dispatched via a trackable method, please use the tracking information on your confirmation e-mail or in 'Your Account' to track your delivery via the relevant carrier website.

If your order was dispatched via a non-trackable method, please rest assured that your item is on its way to you now.

If your order has not yet been dispatched please check 'Your Account' regularly where you will find the most up-to-date information regarding dispatch dates and estimated delivery dates.
