I think Spurs just outran themselves in the first half hour and looked knackered after that. Can't really complain about 1-1 against Chelsea four days after a CL game. Chelsea picked up in the second half but still look curiously off the pace - Essien should have been sent off and Ramires looked dire.

Tevez could easily walk into the first XI of pretty much any team in Europe except Barcelona. Got a feeling that Man City's owners would rather lose their manager than their top scorer, so there's a way to run here.

I can seriously see us going into the final game of the season with three teams in with a chance of winning the league for the first time in forever. Although part of me is still yearning for a good old fashioned Arsenal v Man United race. Tomorrow should be tasty (by which I mean acriomonious and possibly violent).

It's nice that there's a range of possibilities, but United turning it on now and running away with it is maybe most likely of all. I can barely believe that City are ahead of Chelsea on merit now - it's only about three weeks since they were the crisis club.

Arsenal being a point ahead of Chelsea with a game in hand is 100% incomprehensible to me, football is weird.

Why would moving to Chelsea help Tevez see his kids? Are we all assuming that the Mancini thing is the only reason? It's really confusing.

I think Man United have had their mandatory early season wobble now and will continue to churn out wins for the rest of the season, but they don't have the look of runaway title winners.

tevez seems genuinely fucked off, he's spent a lot of time complaining about being away from his family and not enjoying football, but this is out of the blue

if he goes to madrid or milan then he probably thinks he can convince his family to come, those places would halve the alienation problems brought by playing in nw england

another side to this is that tevez has proven himself as a first rate player in the last year or so, something i thought was beyond him, and england might now seem 'done' to him

for all that he lacks the grace of aguero, let alone messi, his scoring rate, general play and leadership value are excellent

he's one of those players (like rooney) whose touch goes to shit when they're in poor form, but these days he's looking like the player we all saw in the early days of youtube

I think Real would be the best move. Spanish speaking country so more likely to adapt and convince family to join him. Some more Argentine players to chill with as well (although do they still hate Higuain and Gago?). And lastly, he'd be perfect foil for Ronaldo, doing all the legwork.

The Tevez thing is kind of fascinating if only because it is the biggest football weekend of the season so far and yet the papers are too busy going mental over a guy who hasn't been happy for ages finally telling his club he... hasn't been happy for ages.
