Yes, there were definitely a couple of points where the referee looked a bit suspect to me.

stfu drogba's goal wasn't anything near handball, though he's prob given dawson a bit of a dig ith that hand. dawson pretty good today for a man after a long layoff, but he was poor there

dunno about the complaints about the game- sure spurs lacked a final ball a lot of the time, but overall the standard or touch, passing and running was of a far higher standard than the average prem game imo?

Yeah, the 'Intercontinental' Cup was the de facto World Club Championship until FIFA muscled in. The Brazil 2000 tournament lacked any real legitimacy and was a glorified friendly, which is why United's participation was so controversial. Following a couple of wikilinks it appears that they didn't manage to schedule a similar tournament for about 5 years after that, while the Intercontinental Cup carried on regardless.

"went to shit from 30 mins on" is super harsh imo - Spurs never bossed the game but shd not be expecting to do so against even a misfiring Chelsea team. Defoe > Crouch otoh was a real turning point, I don't think the latter had a single touch of significance. The amount of misplaced Chelsea passes, as in 10-yard pressure-free balls on the deck, was unreal - I've seen them play worse than that but I can't recall them so relentlessly and pointlessly ceding possession
