ha, folks like you would have driven me to depression :D

westminster wasn't that bad tbh. towards the end i began to fit in and what was previously fond mockery became genuine fondness. it helped that i kinda blanked out how socially-connected and wealthy the vast majority of pupils were. definitely suited me more than my brother.

Mookie, the pic of you looking pug-nosed and sulky in jr high is endlessly amusing.

Laurel, Monday, 7 January 2008 22:46 (eighteen years ago)

My even-younger brother is at a comprehensive and although he's an immature pillock his street sass puts mine to shame. Apparently when someone tried to mug him of his phone he merely asked if that guy was a dealer and could he have HIS phone number. This confused the would-be robber enough to prevent the attack (he even gave my brother his number!). Kids eh?

Just got offed, Monday, 7 January 2008 22:49 (eighteen years ago)

aw thanks. actually i don't think i'd reached jr. high yet, on reflection--i don't look hideous enough

mookieproof, Monday, 7 January 2008 22:52 (eighteen years ago)

jhøshea, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:12 (eighteen years ago)

w/the multi-racial 3 different types of dudes strangely untied by some underlying sartorial theme + pose + lockers it really has a saturday morning tv show ala saved by the bell kinda feel

jhøshea, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:15 (eighteen years ago)

ha i was gonna say the same thing.

latebloomer, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:16 (eighteen years ago)

I'm relatively certain we happened to all dress like that and basically were all "LET'S STRIKE A POSE!" when Sara asked us for a picture.

HI DERE, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:16 (eighteen years ago)

Trust me, I did NOT ask them to dress up like that; I found them that way. And believe me, there were stranger fashion statements made. (GOD if I had that picture of John in the weirdest hat ever, I would post it in a second.)

Sara R-C, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:17 (eighteen years ago)

I feel like I am missing out on an awesome dance sequence that's about to follow that, once the drums kick in

nabisco, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:18 (eighteen years ago)

And Heavy D comes out of the locker

nabisco, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:19 (eighteen years ago)

jhøshea, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:22 (eighteen years ago)

John Justen, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:22 (eighteen years ago)

roxymuzak, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:22 (eighteen years ago)

xpost There was a second picture where you could see the full glory of the locker contents more clearly, but unfortunately I don't have a scanner.

Sara R-C, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:22 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:27 (eighteen years ago)

Information Society was surely playing somewhere on the radio.

jhøshea, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:29 (eighteen years ago)

Odds are it was TKK or KMFDM and not InSoc, since S4r4h D0ts0n is not in that picture.

HI DERE, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:29 (eighteen years ago)

Blue Cap has got some kinda Pringles Jig action going on.

libcrypt, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:30 (eighteen years ago)

John Justen, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:31 (eighteen years ago)

The thing about that picture is that I don't remember John having Jay Leno's chin in high school.

HI DERE, Monday, 7 January 2008 23:31 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE wins thread, thread's over man.
