It won't charge you twice, if you have the iPad assigned to the same iTunes account. Alternately just hook the iPad up to iTunes and sync the app that way.

No, that just means there isn't any iPad code in the app -- if you download it you won't get charged again, but it just runs in the iPhone simulator.

I'll have a play with an iPad version later see what's what. I quite like the Tweetie interface now it's improved, but that smells like a ton of work.

hey stet: I have an idea that might work for everyone asking for a way to load image threads.

you know how in zing you can tap on each individual post to see it on it's own? what if that view had forward and back arrows so I could just tap through to the next image in an image thread, instead of going back to the thread, tapping on the next image post, letting that load, etc.

?

Zing isn't letting me post at this point -- ever since the upgrade, I think. I can read everything okay, but each attempt to post on a thread gives me the 'it is a mystery' dialogue box.

just bought the iPhone version; thanks for dropping the price into the impulse-buy zone (and for all yr hard work on this project too I guess)! would love universal support but I can understand if it's not a priority (although I am heartened by your enthusiasm for the Tweetie interface upthread).

Preventing posting of duplicate messages would be a nice addition sometime (or I could develop some self-control and patience and not hit the Post button over and over if it takes more than a moment to post...)

It does grey out. But besides my frantic, impatient repeated pushing the Post button, there was at least one inexplicable triple post, perhaps due to a twitchy thumb.

That error message about the old-style bookmarks comes up when the connection drops out. I suspect the error text is just wrong.

I see this too and am on it. I haven't changed in anything in the relevant bits, so I'm guessing it's iOS 4.2. That bookmark error is actually supposed to be a suggestion -- the idea is that it comes up when bookmarking fails and suggests you might try double-checking the setting in preferences, but there wasn't enough space to make it clear. Am rewriting all that code just now anyway for increased betterness.

(I also see the huge long pauses in posting in Chrome on ILX sometimes too. Wonder if they're related. (I use Google networking code)).
