eh I've got time for CM

Lawro's sustained laughter at the sight of some implied homosexuality was very akin to Alan Partridge in the new episodes when Sidekick Simon makes a joke he likes

Didn't notice this when it actually happened - just seen it mentioned on another site - but... Torres on his way out?

Torres has looked better the last few games but it shouldn't be any surprise he wants to leave. Can't see him staying past the end of the season, unless Liverpool go on a massive spending spree, or unless he has a bad injury that keeps him crocked through the summer. Don't get much of a sense of team spirit looking at Liverpool either.

Matt DC, Sunday, 28 November 2010 23:46 (fifteen years ago)

Nothing wrong with the body language there, says to me "Oh look Defoe's got a penalty! I'd better get up the field for the goal kick!"

Lindsey Lohan is the new Extreme Noise Terror (onimo), Sunday, 28 November 2010 23:50 (fifteen years ago)

obv dude wants to leave, it's been a terrible move for him, and for a player of his talent to be languishing there must obviously be a whitey for him, but that is just not professional. Shocking attitude.

rappa ternt sagna (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 28 November 2010 23:55 (fifteen years ago)

I found it amusing that DJ Campbell's highlight reel on MOTD2 was composed primarily of misses.

Number None, Sunday, 28 November 2010 23:57 (fifteen years ago)

sick of people analysing every drop of snot or scratch of the ear that torres does. leave the dude alone.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Sunday, 28 November 2010 23:59 (fifteen years ago)

just sayin it's a bit odd he didn't look arsed about the pen outcome. or maybe it isn't odd and he's just mega pissed off with how he's playing. or or or.

The referee was perfect (Chris), Monday, 29 November 2010 00:13 (fifteen years ago)

yeah i meant more the comments after you, just feel a bit sorry for him largely, he doesn't owe the club anything really.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Monday, 29 November 2010 00:16 (fifteen years ago)

ah sorry, gotcha. time for bed me thinks!

Haha. Torres owes one week of honest effort, every week - he's just going through the motions at the moment. Not even sure it could be called lack of form - he was great against Chelsea and some little flicks have been sublime, but when it comes to putting in the running it just isn't happening. Unless he actually is crocked and the pace isn't coming back.

I do think we've probably reached a stage where he has to go, the status quo isn't doing anyone any good. Except that Liverpool have just one other striker, and I can't think of a single prospective signing right now.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 29 November 2010 08:51 (fifteen years ago)

Also, I know everyone's all drop-jawed over Bolton's 2nd and Chris Brunt's magical left peg, but Somen Tchoyi's goal for West Brom at the weekend also deserves a fair amount of love.

William Bloody Swygart, Monday, 29 November 2010 09:18 (fifteen years ago)

It's likely that his "shit I'm not coming back to form quickly and I can still feel this injury a bit" body language is also being read as "I can't wait to get out of here" body language or maybe there's some of both in there.

Maybe that's just what he looks like and no one noticed before - there was endless analysis of Berbatov's body language in his closing months at Spurs, and then he had his dream move to Man United and looked... just as disgruntled and half-arsed. It might just be his natural demeanor.

What about Pacheco?

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 10:28 (fifteen years ago)

not ready yet based on early season starts, imo. there are probably a lot of good strikers out there if you are willing to spend money.

I see what this is (Local Garda), Monday, 29 November 2010 10:30 (fifteen years ago)

i was being sarcastic. if i am wildly mocked for my belief in arsenal youngsters, i am allowed to do the lol kid bought by rafa that chris believes will come good thing.

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 10:52 (fifteen years ago)

and I can't think of a single prospective signing right now.

Adebayorr, Adebayorrrorr, give him the ball and he will score?

Eto'o ))) (ken c), Monday, 29 November 2010 11:09 (fifteen years ago)

Surely Crouch is due a return?

James Mitchell, Monday, 29 November 2010 11:15 (fifteen years ago)

i gave up the love for tchoyi's goal, but i spelt his name wrong tbf.

Might be alone in thinkin torres put in a shift yesterday? Tho i wouldn't normally expect bassong to catch him, it's true.

Any weight to the theory that benitez consistently playing an injured torres has made him a permacrock a la owen? Just sayin.

Within Liverpool's price range?

Borriello?

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 11:20 (fifteen years ago)

we dont know what liverpool's price range is yet. Their paucity of talent and current league position is more likely to be a problem in drawing big names.

Rodallega, he's the man. Would probably swap him for any of crouch/pav/keane.

Meirelles was kinda awes in the centre yesterday

Goths in Home & Away in my lifetime (darraghmac), Monday, 29 November 2010 11:24 (fifteen years ago)

Was reading rumours last week linking Liverpool with Giorgios Samaras. Amateur psychologists will have a field day with *his* body language.

ailsa, Monday, 29 November 2010 11:29 (fifteen years ago)

elmander to pool rumour today has a nice ring to it

r|t|c, Monday, 29 November 2010 11:33 (fifteen years ago)

woy sure does love his scandinavians

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 11:36 (fifteen years ago)

Rodallega to Liverpool has a ring of sense to it but I'm not sure he's quite prolific enough, and would feel like a classic Woy signing. Bit risky maybe? Elmander sounds more like it but he looks like a player who needs good man-management (ie he's only played well under Coyle).

Adebayor I can see, can see them taking one or two of our players as well - not a striker but Kranjcar is unlikely to be getting in our team barring an injury crisis and would a great signing for them.

Matt DC, Monday, 29 November 2010 11:45 (fifteen years ago)

rodallega quite a bit better than elmander, who's taken two years to begin looking like a pl player, and in a team that's overperforming significantly.

Rodallega can also play left wing, and make his own goals. Younger too?

Goths in Home & Away in my lifetime (darraghmac), Monday, 29 November 2010 11:48 (fifteen years ago)

            Reina
Kelly Skrtel Agger Boka
Lucas Miereles
Johnson Kuyt
Erikson
Berg

Keeping with Woy's want of where to sign players from. Decent team imo.

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 11:52 (fifteen years ago)

can some how see him being the manager to try and convince cassano to come to the prem as well

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 11:55 (fifteen years ago)

No Gerrard OR Carragher? That's bound to go down well with the faithful.

Matt DC, Monday, 29 November 2010 12:00 (fifteen years ago)

Well duh.

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 12:01 (fifteen years ago)

Forlan and Suarez, that's who ideally. Either that or just let Torres go to the Caribbean 'til the new year, see if the old one comes back.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 29 November 2010 12:05 (fifteen years ago)

Suarez could threaten to bite Babel unless he hits some form?

wheezy f baby (a hoy hoy), Monday, 29 November 2010 12:07 (fifteen years ago)

liverpool better off w/out stevie g? Or not. Havent seen too much of them lately.

Goths in Home & Away in my lifetime (darraghmac), Monday, 29 November 2010 17:19 (fifteen years ago)

Would've thought it's more a case of being better off with a Stevie G who's got to compete for a place.

Dastardly plan by Citeh to bring down Tottenham, more like.

James Mitchell, Tuesday, 30 November 2010 10:32 (fifteen years ago)

Will forgive him if he scores against Arsenal at WHL and then runs the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of their fans.
