Let's Party!!

Walked around Dublin for two hours last night in vain search for a taxi. It was freezing and I slipped about three times, bruises all over head. Serious disgust at Ireland.

lol. Sat night taxi hunt anywhere on the southside is just pointless ime. Just better off walkin. Not great weather for it tho.

Spent two hours waiting on a train that kept getting postponed then cancelled at the last minute, decided to scrap plans to go to my favourite cousin's birthday party and sat in alone with a ready meal.

Nah darragh last night was psychotic! I've never in my life walked around for so long, it was the snow which got the nitelink cancelled, friends walked to fairview after two hours or so. I honestly was starting to worry about how cold I was when I gatecrashed a taxi. Awful conversation on the journey until the other passengers left me to talk gyan with the Ghanaian driver.

On night #9 of an 11-day solo-parent-palooza. Today we had pancakes, we went ice skating, we went to the museum, we went shopping, we went out for pizza, we went to see a model train show. Tonight in the House of Noisy Boys we have a superhero DVD playing in the living room, My Chemical Romance playing in the kitchen, and soon it will be time for bed. Then I get to clean up the living room and maybe watch a movie...

Thanks! It was a good day, we had fun. But of course it's easy to make parenting sound sort of herculean. Mostly for me it's a matter of making sure nothing gets broken (bones, windows, promises, etc).

That sounds like the best day ever.

Tron Legacy then opened Christmas presents and then How To Train Your Dragon (which has put me in an incredible mood, and might have finally done away with the hangover).

Rest of family leaving for other places. Tonight is the last time I'll properly see my mother before she goes away for the holiday. Got shirts, socks, and a Manny Farber book!

I got invited to a party catered w Italian food by a coworker, except she gave me no address, and was out on Friday and I don't have her number or know any details.

Went on FB saying I was figuring out what I want to do, and my ex replies with her plans. Yea don't really wanna hang w/ the ex, we're on good terms but that seems too much like watching a mediocre film you've already seen three times
