hey stet--upgraded to ios 4.2 this weekend and zing is now telling me i can't bookmark because i have old style bookmarking enabled (which i mostly certainly do not). any ideas?

clear your cache? (logout and relogin)? reinstall? (sorry I'm not stet)

That flashed up for me but it went away again after a second. I agree with dayo, reinstall it.

I had some strange behavior with the update, but then I logged out and in and it went away.

I find myself instinctively pulling down to refresh, ala twitter or Facebook. Can you steal that functionality?

Alternatively, how about shake-to-refresh a la Echofon?

These are the things I would love to see (but am not demanding):

- control over font size
- ability to re-add hidden borads

I'd love to adjust font sizes as well. Not a fan of shaking to do anything because I end up doing this by accident way too often.

SNA page is where the fonts are badliest in their bigness. Not a fan of the whole tram seeing 49 reasons she thinks he's gay (although I could always just use the normal ilx site so)

Wondering if you have any inclination to make an iPad-sized version of this? Probably an unnecessary pain but I would definitely download it.

My requests:

2. A way to see my bookmarks even if they haven't updated.
3. (and this is way pie-in-the-sky) Server-side image resizer that would allow viewing of picture threads on iPhone.

been using zing lite for a while now and finally sprang for the paid version. thanks for putting so much work into this, i used the free version all the time.

You just reminded me of the other change I would like to see.

Also, with the screen space required for fingers some of this stuff is probably ridiculous. I imagine you could only get the text size down so far before the elements are too small to select.

I don't think an ipad version is necessary - it's got enough screen that web ILX runs just fine.

Web ilx does work fine but something a la Reeder for ilx would be fantastic

iPad app would be preferable to the web version.

Part of what makes ilx ilx is the fact that it's simple and functionally bare. Zing is good because it does what it needs to do. As baader said the std we site is fine on an iPad, but it's always been tricky on an iPhone screen.

Having spunked a UI lecture on you lot I would now like to request a feature. When viewing bookmarks and threads, display the name of the forum to which the threads belong. Ta.

bought this for the iPhone a while back. can I also download it to my iPad? every time I try, it looks as if I will have to rebuy it. not sure if this is the case or if apple's store is just goofed up. please help. urgent.

It won't charge you twice, if you have the iPad assigned to the same iTunes account. Alternately just hook the iPad up to iTunes and sync the app that way.

No, that just means there isn't any iPad code in the app -- if you download it you won't get charged again, but it just runs in the iPhone simulator.

I'll have a play with an iPad version later see what's what. I quite like the Tweetie interface now it's improved, but that smells like a ton of work.
