congratulations (n/a), Friday, 12 November 2010 17:23 (fifteen years ago)

I just watched the space simulator through trampoline episodes on OnDemand last night and holy shit this show got funny, like beyond every reasonable expectation I had

"It's going to be a maze." lololololololol

also I love that Jeff isn't always the default star and I think ppl were short-shrifting Shirley in the Jesus movie episode.

Baron Strange of Knockin (DJP), Friday, 12 November 2010 17:24 (fifteen years ago)

I think Troy is my favorite character on any TV show right now.

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 12 November 2010 17:29 (fifteen years ago)

lol great ep

glad to see my stinging rebuke shamed these dudes into manning up ^_^

r|t|c, Friday, 12 November 2010 17:30 (fifteen years ago)

I was hesitant about approaching the zombie attack episode but it was awesome. Britta's zombiefication cracked me the fuck up but the true star was the cat in the basement and their reactions to it.

Baron Strange of Knockin (DJP), Friday, 12 November 2010 17:32 (fifteen years ago)

oh man the sofa cushion in troy's backpack... i lol'd. & pierce's callback to that was excellent too. (xxp)

yah last nite's ep was stellar

This pen episode is my favorite Community episode ever

I wasn't so amused with the zombie episode as most people were. My little sister for instance really liked the zombie one but she wasn't super impressed with this pen one - whatever

Life! The Story of Life (CaptainLorax), Saturday, 13 November 2010 03:48 (fifteen years ago)

shit rewatching this episode is yielding all sorts of lines i didn't hear the first time.

abed: "if we're gonna have a pregnant woman in one of these, i say go 'elevator labor' or go home."

look at this dapper motherfucker (reddening), Saturday, 13 November 2010 03:49 (fifteen years ago)

perpetua See, this is the good kind of Community episode. The kind that isn't pandering to dumbasses.

this guy is such a turdish critic. i literally cannot stand his awful, self-regarding writing.

Calumny (stevie), Sunday, 14 November 2010 10:43 (fifteen years ago)

no-one gives a shit what perpetua thinks about anything

rip whiney g weingarten 03/11 never forget (history mayne), Sunday, 14 November 2010 10:44 (fifteen years ago)

Why was the monkey named "Annie's Boobs" again? I totally forget.

Good episode btw.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Sunday, 14 November 2010 21:54 (fifteen years ago)

multiple twitter feeds, too:

Crazed Mister Handy (kingfish), Sunday, 14 November 2010 21:57 (fifteen years ago)

Troy did a Twitter contest to name the monkey, Senor Chang's suggestion of "Annie's Boobs" won.

look at this dapper motherfucker (reddening), Sunday, 14 November 2010 22:39 (fifteen years ago)

Lol @ Troy when they cut open Pierce's casts: "It smells like a Waffle House sink!"

That is the stench of tyranny (VegemiteGrrrl), Sunday, 14 November 2010 22:56 (fifteen years ago)

i lol'd at that line

get off my lawn (rockapads), Monday, 15 November 2010 02:56 (fifteen years ago)

Me too. Considering how hard it must be to come up with an original and funny "it smells like" line, that was pretty brilliant.

Son of Sisyphus of Reaganing (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Monday, 15 November 2010 03:55 (fifteen years ago)

okay I missed a couple of episodes and had no idea the monkey was named Annie's Boobs, so when someone said "you can see Annie's Boobs pick up the pen" I was looking for something completely different

Baron Strange of Knockin (DJP), Monday, 15 November 2010 15:19 (fifteen years ago)

I was gonna ask why it didn't seem strange to you that Boobs was capitalized, but I guess if anyone's boobs were gonna be capitalized it's her

JIMMY MOD THE SACK MASTER (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Monday, 15 November 2010 17:42 (fifteen years ago)

it's hard for me to know exactly but a large percentage of why i like this show is bound up in how hot i find alison brie

Mordy, Monday, 15 November 2010 17:54 (fifteen years ago)

Same for me, except sub Joel McHale for Alison Brie

That is the stench of tyranny (VegemiteGrrrl), Monday, 15 November 2010 18:11 (fifteen years ago)

I <3 brie coz I think she's a hilarious actress but I'll take Gillian Jacobs because I do like me an icy blonde

JIMMY MOD THE SACK MASTER (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Monday, 15 November 2010 18:13 (fifteen years ago)

in your defence, it seems to me the show has been a lot more about annie's boobs this season xp

sonderangerbot, Monday, 15 November 2010 18:14 (fifteen years ago)

for a sitcom about a community college study group, they do find a lot of reasons to take their shirts off.

Kerm, Monday, 15 November 2010 18:42 (fifteen years ago)

sb?

JIMMY MOD THE SACK MASTER (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Monday, 15 November 2010 18:49 (fifteen years ago)

community colleges are our nation's breeding grounds!

Mordy, Monday, 15 November 2010 18:49 (fifteen years ago)

Mordy OTM.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Monday, 15 November 2010 19:37 (fifteen years ago)

According to Dan Harmon's Twitter, the next episode is a "special live" episode starring Gary Busey as Pierce's long-lost son. Not sure if this is a joke, haven't seen anything else about a live episode. Not sure this cast can pull it off, given how 30 Rock's went. Busey could be funny though.

"I am a fairly respected poster." (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:05 (fifteen years ago)

Not this week's episode, actually, the next one after Thanksgiving.

"I am a fairly respected poster." (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:06 (fifteen years ago)

That reads like a Dan Harmon joke to me, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it turns out to be a reality.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:08 (fifteen years ago)

He also posted that Abed would discover a T-Rex and Annie would fight nine popes. I hope but highly doubt this is true.

literally the worst thing that ever happened on this planet (reddening), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:49 (fifteen years ago)

dude busey would be great.

Mark Chmuras Hot Tub Crime Machine (chrisv2010), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:51 (fifteen years ago)

So the characters have their own Twitter feeds, right? Last night around 3 AM Jeff posts "Sleepy" and Britta replies back "Me too." So they are totally sleeping together.

literally the worst thing that ever happened on this planet (reddening), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:56 (fifteen years ago)

okay, that is just weird

Life! The Story of Life (CaptainLorax), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:58 (fifteen years ago)

tv characters being vital characters outside the show is so meta

Life! The Story of Life (CaptainLorax), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:59 (fifteen years ago)

I follow all the actors on twitter, but not their characters. That's one step beyond.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 16 November 2010 18:59 (fifteen years ago)

Same here, and while I don't want to be that guy, surely Jeff tweeting at 3AM and then Britta responding means that they're not sleeping together.

Gukbe, Tuesday, 16 November 2010 19:04 (fifteen years ago)

I knew I was crossing a line as I was typing that.

Gukbe, Tuesday, 16 November 2010 19:04 (fifteen years ago)

Or, they ARE sleeping together but are creating a Twitter facade to make people think they AREN'T...

(I've been That Guy since the day I was born)

Baron Strange of Knockin (DJP), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 19:07 (fifteen years ago)

Come on, they're sleeping together. Why else would the show have made a point of Britta knowing what underwear Jeff 'usually' wears on a date?

xpost Plus what DJP said.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Tuesday, 16 November 2010 19:07 (fifteen years ago)

Surely that's way too subtle, even for Community.

Gukbe, Tuesday, 16 November 2010 19:08 (fifteen years ago)

The character Twitters are kind of like a rudimentary ARG, foreshadowing plot points and filling in details. And with the monkey's Twitter account it's pretty clearly just Dan Harmon or one of the other writers just posting random shit:

AnniesB00bs: People want to kno my favrit movie. Please understand that "favrit" is a uniquely human concept. But I love Xanadu and it holds up
