yes, M white started a thread about that yesterday, under a title that may have discouraged worktime clicking.

kenan, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:01 (eighteen years ago)

xpost haha
I think M. White started a thread about that, although the title was a bit racy.

jaymc, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:01 (eighteen years ago)

oooooooh, that's what the glowing pussy thread was about

n/a, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:07 (eighteen years ago)

i didn't click on that

n/a, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

that picture is pretty awesome though

n/a, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

crepey

Jordan, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

Not quite as creepy as cat night eyes by themselves.

KitCat, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:10 (eighteen years ago)

yeah, cool only in theory. Glowing cats would be disturbing IRL. "KILL IT! IT IS A THING THAT SHOULD NOT BE!"

kenan, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:10 (eighteen years ago)

no it would be useful. i accidentally kicked lucy going to bed last night, that would not happen if she were glo-in-the-dark

n/a, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:11 (eighteen years ago)

The downside is that I think they only glow when exposed to ultraviolet light...? Which is like -- uh, I don't have one of those as my bedside reading lamp or anything, so I'm not sure how much good it's supposed to do.

Laurel, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:12 (eighteen years ago)

MY NAME IS NOT JEFFY

MY

NAME

IS NOT

JEFFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesse, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:13 (eighteen years ago)

xpost to Nick: fair point. Arriving home after dark (every day, this time of year) + inadequate lighting inside + hungry kitty = 50-60% chance of accidental kicking

kenan, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:14 (eighteen years ago)

I ordered spring rolls from Furama and curry from the Thai place and on both orders they spelled my name "Jeffy." And the guy at the Chinese place spoke perfect English- no accent and I even SPELLED MY NAME.

Jesse, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:14 (eighteen years ago)

they should make BLACK LIGHT CATS that you could take to the discoteque

n/a, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:15 (eighteen years ago)

if you had a UV light by your bedside, you could use the cat as reading lamp. which would be good, since they always are on top of the book anyway.

Jordan, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:17 (eighteen years ago)

Or to a rave where you could spin them around while dancing.

Jesse, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:17 (eighteen years ago)

hey, you know how Jenny is married to Indie Jeff? well, i just saw Nu-Metal Jeff in the hallway here.

Jordan, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:18 (eighteen years ago)

who is nu-metal Jeff?

Jesse, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:21 (eighteen years ago)

This dude Jordan works with, you wouldn't know him.

dan m, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:22 (eighteen years ago)

KitCat, Friday, 14 December 2007 20:53 (eighteen years ago)

Is anything fun happening tonight? Apparently one of gr8080's friends is DJing at D@rkroom?

dan m, Friday, 14 December 2007 21:17 (eighteen years ago)

deej, Saturday, 15 December 2007 00:23 (eighteen years ago)

man last night i was worn the fuck out, i went w/ gr80 to neo and couldnt get up the energy to do much of anything ... thought i was gonna pass out standing up. i left before him and woke up @ noon, made it in to work just before one, slightly under an hour late :-/

i think my boss thinks im trying to get fired.

deej, Saturday, 15 December 2007 00:24 (eighteen years ago)

neo is a riot btw

deej, Saturday, 15 December 2007 00:25 (eighteen years ago)

I love thursday-night neo. was the flamenco-type guy dancing?

Eazy, Saturday, 15 December 2007 01:12 (eighteen years ago)

haha YES

deej, Saturday, 15 December 2007 01:37 (eighteen years ago)

(i assume it was him anyway)

deej, Saturday, 15 December 2007 01:37 (eighteen years ago)

haha that guy is the best.

d@rkroom is free before 11, but if you get there after, use the password "pop noir" to skip the cover.

my friend goes on at 10:30 and i highly recommend trying to catch his set.

gr8080, Saturday, 15 December 2007 01:51 (eighteen years ago)

i think some of my coworkers went to neo after our xmas party, maybe you saw them. i went home and slept because that's what i do

n/a, Saturday, 15 December 2007 02:54 (eighteen years ago)

why is lukas haas in the international players anthem video? can anyone answer me that?

n/a, Saturday, 15 December 2007 15:48 (eighteen years ago)

i was gonna go to the darkroom last night but fell asleep so very hard on the couch and didn't wake up until close to midnight

gbx, Saturday, 15 December 2007 16:19 (eighteen years ago)

who is lukas haas?

Jordan, Saturday, 15 December 2007 19:23 (eighteen years ago)

The ticket prices for Doctor Atomic are crazy (over $100 for anything but nosebleed seats). Maybe I will bum-rush the show, or sneak in at intermission.

Eazy, Saturday, 15 December 2007 19:45 (eighteen years ago)

has anyone heard of the band Plaid? I have a CD of theirs and I don't know where it came from. It was in my laptop. HOW DID IT GET THERE??

It sounds like, "weeeooo-weee-oooo-weeeeooooo-weeee-ooooo/doot doot doot doot doot doot/weeeeeee ooooo dooot doooot dwewefanlgknank"

Jesse, Saturday, 15 December 2007 20:03 (eighteen years ago)

yeah, Plaid is pretty good. back when i listened to more Autechre and stuff i had a few tracks off Double Figure that i liked a lot.

does anyone know why there is a loud buzz coming from my turntable (even when it's not on, just when i'm on that input channel on my stereo)? is it a grounding thing?

Jordan, Saturday, 15 December 2007 20:07 (eighteen years ago)

My speakers at work buzz loudly when I put my desk lamp too close to the speakers or the cords.

Seriously, where the hell did this CD come from?? Anyone claim this? Probably Kenan's. It's definitely NOT mine since I don't buy CDs and I definitely would not have bought this one (since I have never even heard of them).

If you want this CD you can have it.

Jesse, Saturday, 15 December 2007 20:09 (eighteen years ago)

what cd is it?

Jordan, Saturday, 15 December 2007 20:10 (eighteen years ago)

it's the one the goes "weeeooooweeeoooo"

I don't know. It's not labelled and stupid iTunes crashed and wants to be reinstalled and VLC player doesn't show titles.

Jesse, Saturday, 15 December 2007 20:51 (eighteen years ago)

hmm, there's a lot of snow out there. i'm really glad we found a garage space last weekend. but i'm not hugely looking forward to the trek to the hideout tonight. hmm.

colette, Saturday, 15 December 2007 23:57 (eighteen years ago)

also, how do you know when the 2" rule is in effect? i'm guessing it's the amount of snow on the roads/sidewalks rather than yards where stuff can pile up all winter, but have no idea if there's a website that says "don't park here today, it's officially over 2" of snow". of course the city of chicago site tells me where these restrictions are, but not how they define it.

colette, Sunday, 16 December 2007 00:04 (eighteen years ago)

Halsted to north, north to elston, elston to wabansia, easy. enjoy the show!
