Roast Beef's future is confusing - he grows hair, then loses it? He doesn't die, just ... disappears.

n/a, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 16:36 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe he shaves his head now?

Jordan, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 16:36 (eighteen years ago)

still trying to figure out beef's look before his demise. angry ranting doorag wearing guy?

That's Molly yelling at him for something, probably related to the previous panel

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 16:43 (eighteen years ago)

Molly leaving him, no? He goes to x because she IS his life.

Abbott, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 19:35 (eighteen years ago)

that does appear to be the otter lifecycle

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 19:37 (eighteen years ago)

yeah thanks to this thread I have discovered the genius of this, been obsessively reading through from the beginning. Are the blogs... worthwhile?

ledge, Thursday, 4 October 2007 08:20 (eighteen years ago)

they're a bit hit and miss, pat's one is quite funny:

max r, Thursday, 4 October 2007 08:24 (eighteen years ago)

I wouldn't really have time to keep up with them sadly. I'm sure if you read them regularly they would be. I would love the new t shirt. Not willing to spend yet more money on achewood stuff just yet though...

kv_nol, Thursday, 4 October 2007 08:25 (eighteen years ago)

kev, do they deliver to the UK swiftly? is postage pricy? i want a stoned lightning tee shirt.

stevie, Thursday, 4 October 2007 09:19 (eighteen years ago)

I'm in Ireland but I think it's much of a muchness. The cost of postage isn't high, it's pretty normal for the US to Europe. They do bundle things though which means that you save a bit of money. It is very slow getting to you, they only have one person (I think) working with them on the mail outs so things can get a bit held up. It normally takes about 2 weeks all told. They're very good with emails though so if you're worried you can email and expect a reply.

In short: Buy it.

kv_nol, Thursday, 4 October 2007 09:32 (eighteen years ago)

In re: blogs

They're way worthwhile, espec. Ray, Beef, and Cornelius.

Not essential, but next time you embark on a re-reading (as we all must do at times), opt to read them instead.

There's a storyline in there with Ray as a "silent partner" in a pub Cornelius runs that is A++ Can Do With a Yes Attitude.

en i see kay, Thursday, 4 October 2007 09:40 (eighteen years ago)

Beef's 'Kraftwerk dinner' dialogue was killer

DJ Mencap, Thursday, 4 October 2007 09:50 (eighteen years ago)

Oh hellz yes.

en i see kay, Thursday, 4 October 2007 09:52 (eighteen years ago)

I've definitely been waiting patiently for a situation to come up that allows me to C&P that in a relevant manner.

en i see kay, Thursday, 4 October 2007 09:53 (eighteen years ago)

The time is now... C&P away plz!

Haha, that Denise strip is amazing.

The blogs are funny, and they only update 1-2x per month.

Jordan, Thursday, 4 October 2007 18:51 (eighteen years ago)

Has anyone ever shelled out for the "subscriber-only archive"? Is it funny?

Jordan, Thursday, 4 October 2007 18:53 (eighteen years ago)

awes

Every time Ray burps, "an angel gets a plantar wart," or so he says. He has had some wine.

remy bean, Friday, 5 October 2007 02:41 (eighteen years ago)

"She's so pretty, a dog barks!" (if you see a really pretty lady)

Abbott, Friday, 5 October 2007 02:44 (eighteen years ago)

my only nitpick with philippe's friday facts is that it's a little transparent that it's just an excuse to dump a series of punchlines chris couldn't work into a full strip, instead of being a full helping of philippe. still funnier than 99% of the rest of the world though.

El Tomboto, Friday, 5 October 2007 02:55 (eighteen years ago)

I love Philippe's Friday Facts but not as much as I love Fuck You Fridays

Yes.

kv_nol, Friday, 5 October 2007 08:34 (eighteen years ago)

Molly leaving him, no? He goes to x because she IS his life.

Yeah, but, uh, didn't they meet each other when they were both dead?

Casuistry, Friday, 5 October 2007 19:33 (eighteen years ago)

dude they are cats. they don't die/they are not really dead until you kill them 10 times

river wolf, Friday, 5 October 2007 19:37 (eighteen years ago)

i'm not a big fan of phillipe's friday facts either

Mr. Que, Friday, 5 October 2007 19:38 (eighteen years ago)

I dunno, the death scenes came off as way more complicated than just "they're cats, they have nine lives".

Casuistry, Friday, 5 October 2007 19:38 (eighteen years ago)

dude it's a cartoon dude

Mr. Que, Friday, 5 October 2007 19:39 (eighteen years ago)

achewood makes me want to get drunk with my friends more often

river wolf, Friday, 5 October 2007 19:40 (eighteen years ago)

^get drunk with my friends and cook foods

Jordan, Friday, 5 October 2007 19:41 (eighteen years ago)

yes, that!

river wolf, Friday, 5 October 2007 20:54 (eighteen years ago)

I never don't want to have a barbecue with pals, achewood is more responsible for me wanting to burn one in a hot tub while listening to the police

El Tomboto, Friday, 5 October 2007 22:18 (eighteen years ago)

phillipe's friday facts is funny but doesnt it just remind you of the onion's jackie harvey?

max, Friday, 5 October 2007 23:07 (eighteen years ago)

not as much as the rest of the internet?

El Tomboto, Friday, 5 October 2007 23:09 (eighteen years ago)

the onion's jackie harvey + cusswords = gawkermedia, inc

El Tomboto, Friday, 5 October 2007 23:09 (eighteen years ago)

the onion's jackie harvey + asperger's syndrom = ilx

max, Friday, 5 October 2007 23:10 (eighteen years ago)

I love Philippe's Friday Facts! It reminds me of a newsletter I used to make when I was a kid. Plus the pictures of him are so cute. "This is what happens when kids smoke. (die)"

Abbott, Friday, 5 October 2007 23:11 (eighteen years ago)

I ONLY LISTEN TO DOUBLE MUSIC

Mr. Que, Monday, 8 October 2007 15:00 (eighteen years ago)

I don't think I like Todd. :(

n/a, Monday, 8 October 2007 15:02 (eighteen years ago)

that's it.

Mr. Que, Monday, 8 October 2007 15:04 (eighteen years ago)

i guess you don't like squirrels that do cocaine. ;__;

Mr. Que, Monday, 8 October 2007 15:11 (eighteen years ago)

Cocaine has ruined him. When he was a crazy tearaway with a cool van and an endless enthusiasm he was great. Hopefully he can cut down his coke usage to more manageable levels and get back to his old self.

I know Todd.
