"Just Like Seinfeld" and "P3D" ftw

No Good, Scrunty-Looking, Narf Herder (Gukbe), Friday, 29 October 2010 17:01 (fifteen years ago)

I love Nick wandering onscreen with the bubbles and muttering "buh buh buh buh".

Johnny Fever, Friday, 29 October 2010 17:01 (fifteen years ago)

what happened to this show again? cancelled for 'outsourced' or what

am0n, Friday, 29 October 2010 17:03 (fifteen years ago)

mid-season come back. supposedly.

No Good, Scrunty-Looking, Narf Herder (Gukbe), Friday, 29 October 2010 17:06 (fifteen years ago)

I've read some speculation that NBC is going to open up an hour of sitcoms on another night, potentially Tuesdays. P&R and 30 Rock will probably move, and something will get stuck into the 8:30 slot on Thursdays where 30 Rock currently is.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 29 October 2010 17:09 (fifteen years ago)

I actually found genuine laughs in this week's episode of Outsourced

it's clearly too late for me, run and save yourselves while you can

lol tea partiers and their fat fingers (HI DERE), Friday, 29 October 2010 17:11 (fifteen years ago)

I was too lazy to change the channel after Community, so I watched The Office and Outsourced too. re: Outsourced, it's clearly not as dire now as the pilot was, but I still found it being like the dumbed down version of other single camera sitcoms. "Is Parks & Recreation too thinky for you? Well here's some obvious cultural stereotype humor you might get."

I do think that one overweight guy who does double duty in eSurance commercials is pretty funny, though. I wish he could've found work in a good show.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 29 October 2010 17:15 (fifteen years ago)

the pariah dude? he and the wallflower girl are the two best things about the show

lol tea partiers and their fat fingers (HI DERE), Friday, 29 October 2010 17:15 (fifteen years ago)

although I do like the bitter Indian manager as well

lol tea partiers and their fat fingers (HI DERE), Friday, 29 October 2010 17:16 (fifteen years ago)

I was surprised to discover (via Netflix) that Outsourced was spun off from a movie.

Your cousin, Marvin Cobain (C. Grisso/McCain), Friday, 29 October 2010 17:18 (fifteen years ago)

I heard the movie was pretty okay. I'm not going to much trouble to find out, though.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 29 October 2010 17:23 (fifteen years ago)

The only reason why I gave the show another chance was because former coworkers of mine who emigrated to the US from India were big fans of the movie and totally rooting for the series.

lol tea partiers and their fat fingers (HI DERE), Friday, 29 October 2010 17:32 (fifteen years ago)

also lol I didn't realize that Manmeet was an original History Boys cast member

two weeks pass...

Although I'm sure there's a lot of crossover between this thread's audience and that of certain others where this has already been discussed, I feel the need to bump it anyway.

P&R back in January at 9:30/8:30c.

totally missed that video above, great stuff

Nhex, Thursday, 16 December 2010 04:45 (fifteen years ago)

ha ha we randomly rewatched "Pikitis" yesterday, love chris pratt and his jaunty way of holding a coffee cup. louis ck's character was also great, i wish he could've stayed longer, but no he had to go off and make a groundbreaking show of his own.

max how was season 1 on rewatch?

The Practice Date remains the single funniest episode of the series.

WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Wednesday, 19 January 2011 20:38 (fifteen years ago)

that said i love Adam Scott and Rob Lowe so i'm feeling like this is the year i start to genuinely like this show

some dude, Friday, 21 January 2011 02:50 (fifteen years ago)

I'm glad they wasted no time tormenting Jerry again.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 21 January 2011 02:50 (fifteen years ago)

Also, I forgot Tom was dating that really hot bartender girl.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 21 January 2011 02:51 (fifteen years ago)

Rob Lowe's character is so delightfully weird.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 21 January 2011 02:54 (fifteen years ago)

Lowe is a great comedic performer imo; really have no idea why he hasn't become a regular SNL host or anything like that

some dude, Friday, 21 January 2011 03:00 (fifteen years ago)

this was a setup ep, mostly a waste but still okay

thank you based jättegod (forksclovetofu), Friday, 21 January 2011 03:53 (fifteen years ago)

some good lolz. interesting to see what they do with Rob Lowe, as he's pretty one-note (though genuinely likeable and I felt bad when I said he had his first bad date).

Tom's gf is Natalie Morales and they'd better keep her around because <3 <3 <3

the Swanson pyramid of greatness had me dying! Also Ron's Bobby Knight chair throwing. SO great.

VegemiteGrrrl, Friday, 21 January 2011 14:41 (fifteen years ago)

So glad this is back. Can never get enough Swanson. I think he is my favorite character on tv right now.

Moonlight Graham (chrisv2010), Friday, 21 January 2011 15:09 (fifteen years ago)
