Just wanted to say, in case anyone I haven't thought of to email is interested, that we're getting together tomorrow night (Sat the 4th) somewhere in Central Square, Cambridge still TBD. Will post the details later today once we've figured out where.

What's the name of the fake Irish bar attached to Hotel @ MIT? If Miracle of Science it too crowded we could likely guarantee ourselves a table there.

asgard is huge and will definitely accommodate us--my word of warning is that there is a really annoying cover band that plays there starting between 9 and 10 on saturdays.

I don't think so. I think it's sorta like a club? I have no idea but I think it's actually tiny and the name is a hilarious joke.

yeah it's a pretty average sized room actually. music is really loud so it's hard to talk. a pretty good dance party usually starts after midnight. hard to get into.

I like the miracle of science/asgard plan and we can deal with the cover band if need be. If it's anything like the one I heard a couple weeks ago while waiting in Fanueil Hall - we'll get lucky and they'll cover both lil' john and lady gaga and it will be awesome.

J & I have to sing Sunday so we likely will not be out super super late (or at least if she is there she will act as our collective conscience and keep me from going "hey, let's check All Asia to see if they're doing a dance party!")

I know the original proposed meet-up time was around 9, but we'll have more luck grabbing a table at Miracle if someone is there early. Maybe we'll try to swing by between 8/8:30 to stake out territory...?

The main reason I haven't tried to make it a main vocation (besides of course it being WAY WAY WAY WAY easier to make money in software) is because I'm afraid putting myself on the entire audition grind would kill my love of it. Although I do need to pick the voice lessons back up.

Yeah, I get that. I used to play the violin quite well and I stopped all together years ago because I practiced so much that I started to get burnt out and began to hate it.

LOL! I really should though. My Dad actually recently had my violin, which had been busted for a looong time, repaired and revamped so it's now in working order. Maybe I'll pick it up when I'm down for Christmas.

google maps says that miracle of science is a six minute walk from the central square stop. does that sound about right?

yeah, basically you will come out near the corner of Mass Ave and Prospect; walk down Mass Ave towards Boston (if you are on Mass Ave facing the Starbucks, turn to your right) and it will be about 5-6 blocks down on your left

It's really close. I only picked places that were in walking distance from a T stop because I knew you were coming in on the train. =)
