Sometimes I like to remember when that guy's balls exploded in Chase's face.

Sometimes I like to remember that.

Oh and right Wilson threw some pretty good booze through a window at House's father's funeral wherein House stole some of his father's flesh for a DNA sample. That was memorable and it did not even involve anal hemorrhaging.

Abbott of the Trapezoid Monks (Abbott), Sunday, 23 November 2008 03:00 (seventeen years ago)

Dude okay House's patient-saving epiphany/metaphor was this NOIZE 45 that he played through an amp as big as himself and played constantly at Wilson after he got a patient to sue Wilson omg.

THIS, this, this....THIS> THIS was fucking EPIC.

LOL ... i actually converted a college friend who back then was totally into NOIZE stuff like pussy galore from "house" skeptic to a "house" fan after i showed him that episode.

Eisbaer, Wednesday, 3 December 2008 06:15 (seventeen years ago)

... even though both he and i were wondering why the 30-something punk rocker/loser with a lifestyle like GG Allin from that episode looked more like someone from Fall Out Boy than, er, GG Allin.

Foreman/13 is boring as hell-heck.

imo this show & the tony shaloub joint where hes ocd both represent the endpoint of just-barely-clever enough quirky bullshit that isnt actually smarter or funnier or more intersting than a typical episode of according to jim but tricks herbs in their late 20s into buying dvds and using it as comfort food for some reason

and what, Friday, 30 January 2009 19:12 (seventeen years ago)

idk what according to jim is, but i'm sure it has the acting and character quality of house

I know she supposedly has huntington's disease and all, but why does 13 have such low self-esteem? I mean I could probably get a date with her and might actually marry her if push came to shove (if she wasn't just a tv character). We could have mnage à trois the way they're supposed to be - and then I could make fun of her and she'd be like, oh lorax i have such low self-esteem, what can I do to make you feel better

CaptainLorax, Friday, 30 January 2009 19:47 (seventeen years ago)

she is willing to settle with Foreman

CaptainLorax, Friday, 30 January 2009 20:05 (seventeen years ago)

She is willing to settle with an esteemed doctor, yes.

i'm shy (Abbott), Friday, 30 January 2009 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

There may be good doctors on that show, but nobody is esteemed.

you used 'smash' in an intentionally ambiguous way

someone finally made a youtube video out of the pussy galore song that House played for Wilson about a year ago:

LOLBJ (Eisbaer), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 02:32 (seventeen years ago)

This week's episode was the worst in the history of the show. Every character was acting like a more contented, friendlier, hyper-sensitive version of their usual selves. And I didn't care about that patient at all. The way the episode handled his relationship with his wife (which decayed in maybe ten minutes of showtime) was right out of a daytime soap opera. Everything about this episode was awful.

The previous two episodes were so great that I got my hopes up for a strong finish to the season after so many ups and downs.

So did Kal Penn get fired or something?

lindseykai, Tuesday, 7 April 2009 01:47 (seventeen years ago)

would it be too much to wish that either John Cho or Neil Patrick Harris be the triggerman (if indeed Kutner was killed instead of offing himself)?

Kutner was my favorite Duckling ... if one of them had to go, i wish it would've been Thirteen.

LOLBJ (Eisbaer), Tuesday, 7 April 2009 02:34 (seventeen years ago)

i mean, Kutner WAS what others thought Foreman was -- i.e., a kinder and gentler version of House!

LOLBJ (Eisbaer), Tuesday, 7 April 2009 02:35 (seventeen years ago)

I totally predicted Kutner's death to my wife last week after the "Next Week on House" bit. "Kutner wasn't in it anywhere, and there's Taub crying...they're killing his character."

WmC, Tuesday, 7 April 2009 03:20 (seventeen years ago)

why did they make an obituary and memorial video?
http://www.fox.com/kutner/

I'm sure kal penn will get a new role on tv or whatever if they haven't offered one already.

CaptainLorax, Tuesday, 7 April 2009 04:43 (seventeen years ago)

hard to feel sad for a tv character. he was my favorite of the new crew if you don't count 13 being hot.

OTM -- hotness aside, 13 is the LEAST interesting or likable of any of the show's characters. which is why i'm not feeling this season as much as others, since it's been so much about 13 (and her affair with Foreman, the other boring character). but Foreman IS interesting, in that his dullness IS what makes him interesting.

a long way of saying that (story-wise) they picked the wrong character to kill off. this doesn't include back-stage stuff (which no-one knows about right now).

LOLBJ (Eisbaer), Tuesday, 7 April 2009 07:00 (seventeen years ago)

What television/movie star is leaving his show to work in the Obama administration?
Part I: Kal Penn

I understand it was your decision to leave House. True?
KAL PENN: Yes. I was incredibly honored a couple of months ago to get the opportunity to go work in the White House. I got to know the President and some of the staff during the campaign and had expressed interest in working there, so I'm going to be the associate director in the White House office of public liaison. They do outreach with the American public and with different organizations. They're basically the front door of the White House. They take out all of the red tape that falls between the general public and the White House. It's similar to what I was doing on the campaign.

Apparently.

Melissa W, Tuesday, 7 April 2009 07:17 (seventeen years ago)

shit, i figured it was just harold and kumar III.

for what it's worth, some commentators on CNN Political Ticker are sniffing about an actor like Kal Penn taking a White House job. many (though not all) being conservatives forgetting about the pre-political careers of certain of their icons ...

LOLBJ (Eisbaer), Wednesday, 8 April 2009 01:53 (seventeen years ago)

OK so this Kutner guy is a CHARACTER on the show? Theres freaking Facebook obituary groups, I thought the ACTOR had died. Geez.

one art, please (Trayce), Wednesday, 8 April 2009 01:57 (seventeen years ago)

i'm a little surprised by the Kutner love, too (and i LIKED the character). he had some memorable scenes (usually involving defibrillators), but he never got anywhere near as much time as any of the other new House crew -- not even as much time as Big Love before he got kicked out. i guess some of it has to do with the unexpectedness of his suicide (which is kinda the point of the episode), maybe some of it is residual harold and kumar love.

LOLBJ (Eisbaer), Wednesday, 8 April 2009 02:34 (seventeen years ago)

He was sort of a utiliarian player on the show, and those are the ones who usually turn out to be the most loved when they leave. Apples and oranges, yeah, but it's kind of like when Radar O'Reilly left MASH. He was seldom the focus of any episode, but the show was never again the same without him.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 8 April 2009 02:42 (seventeen years ago)

I thought the whole thing abt House trying to convince himself it was a murder and not a suicide was...House ridding himself of kindled suicidal thoughts by persuading himself Kutner wouldn't really do that. Suicides show up a lot more in people who know other who did it. It was projection on my part.

OTOH when House said that to Kutner's parents I wanted to fucking kill him.
