I know ilx culture is snark w/o regrets but unfinest is def a thread that exists w/ no reason other than just to directly attack people - "hey you, your joke is stupid" - there are some other threads like that and I also think they're all bad and I'm amazed that they don't get locked when lots of other shit does.

I think there is a difference between the natural 'make fun of stupid shit someone here said' that goes on in a thread and creating a thread w/ the explicit purpose of doing that. I dunno I guess the difference is pretty slight, but imo there still is a difference.

i'd like to also point out that dan perry made the first snarky comment about the poster in question - but yes this is certainly the most reasonable course of action

lets be fair here - this has nothing to do with me being pissy. i've been pretty lenient over and over on these threads about bringing people up that aren't on 77, and normally people take it in stride and drop it. but today multiple peeps just decided to keep rolling on despite me politely mentioning that. and then when i tried to lock it to just fix the problem, it got unlocked by crut. so considering that a bunch of peeps seemed to be talking about how there was no reason for them to stay on 77, i fixed the problem by moving it to ILE. what exactly is the issue with that?
