yes it's christmas day, didn't you know?

How was the-man-whose-name-will-never-be-spelled, Glasgow?

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 21 November 2004 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

that's silly.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 21 November 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

oh, conk (as cozen calls him) was good. my gin & tonic kick isn't giving me much of a kick, though, and I let myself get a little preoccupied. the others seemed to enjoy it. yeah, I think I saw shell, for a moment, running, like she was in a hard day's night but not being chased. there was a little bit of saluting but not in too nasty a way. we met a medical student, on the stair, and cozen was making fun of her. that was good, too.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 21 November 2004 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyone know what the End of the Month club is like?

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Sunday, 21 November 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't remember making fun of the medical student.

cºzen (Cozen), Sunday, 21 November 2004 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

O I do.

cºzen (Cozen), Sunday, 21 November 2004 20:31 (twenty-one years ago)

you were making fun of lynskey, too, remember?

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 21 November 2004 20:39 (twenty-one years ago)

That's nice, Cozen! I'll be there erm the end of this month.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Sunday, 21 November 2004 20:45 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe we could fight.

cºzen (Cozen), Sunday, 21 November 2004 20:47 (twenty-one years ago)

That's nice, Cozen! BTW this is cheeky but if anyone's got a floor to crash on for me and Jarlr'mai it would be HORRENDOUSLY appreciated.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Sunday, 21 November 2004 20:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Ha! That shut you up, see you there.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Monday, 22 November 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:02 (twenty-one years ago)

wow.

I wish I had looked, now.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like to apologise for waking Ally C at 8.25am with this exciting news on his day off. Perhaps the explosion at 8.30am would have woken him anyway.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Glasgow is ON FIRE, man!

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:10 (twenty-one years ago)

We've just been evacuated too - fire in a staff room or something. Good job it's fairly warm and sunny. One of the fire engines came all the way from Springburn because they're using so many at the Shackfire.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

QUICK - I need a very cheap place to stay in the town centre. Probably in the next hour. I'm stumped.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Do you mean a hostel? Go to the Eurohostel near Central Station, that's cheap.

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Or did you mean a different thing?

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:40 (twenty-one years ago)

No that sounds good I'll have a look now.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:45 (twenty-one years ago)

It's on Jamaica Street, just along from Richer Sounds.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:52 (twenty-one years ago)

it's on clyde street, by the clyde.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 26 November 2004 18:09 (twenty-one years ago)

fire engines, on st. vincent steet, near cookie's work, as I walked home.

bath street closed, from blythswood street.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 26 November 2004 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Is Lynskey in Glasgow? Is he torching it bit by bit as he goes looking for somewhere to stay?

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 26 November 2004 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, Trembling Blue Stars!

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 26 November 2004 18:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Lovely smokey smell all up Sauchiehall St. Seems the building is just a hollow shell, which they'll have to knock down. Shame.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 26 November 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

sham

RJG (RJG), Friday, 26 November 2004 19:27 (twenty-one years ago)

69.

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 26 November 2004 20:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Ally,

Sorry I didn't make it to your birthday do; I kind of overcooked it a bit the night before and wasn't able to make it.

Some time soon though, I'll get through for a drink with you guys.

KeithW (kmw), Sunday, 28 November 2004 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah Ally, sorry, I did text you about midnight to say I fell asleep and we, er, couldn't be arsed driving through that late at night once I woke up. Hope it was fun.

Keith, come to Glasgow for my birthday!

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 28 November 2004 23:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Cool!

When is it?

Also, come to Edinburgh for mine in January.

KeithW (kmw), Sunday, 28 November 2004 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

18th December. It's a Saturday! I have made no plans, but maybe, if Glasgow is up for it, we could do something. In the evening, that is, I will be at Parkhead in the afternoon.

I haven't been in Edinburgh since I wrecked my leg at the Usher Hall. A trip through would be a good thing, I think.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 28 November 2004 23:34 (twenty-one years ago)

jeez, did anyone go to ally's birthday? : /

I apologise, I'm sorry, I wish I could have made it down, not least to meet lara. : /

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 29 November 2004 00:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I am back in glasgow, the end of next week.

if you'll have me.

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 29 November 2004 00:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I didn't know Lara was there (not that that would have woken me up, but still...)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 29 November 2004 00:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Cook phoned me earlier in the evening and said "it would be funny if no-one turned up".

I wonder if it was.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 29 November 2004 00:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I lost my virginity in the Eurohostel back in the days when it was a hall of residence.

scotstvo (scotstvo), Monday, 29 November 2004 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

lots of people turned up. south africans, even. we should have guessed.

I tore my trousers, for ally.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 29 November 2004 04:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Seven. A. M.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 29 November 2004 10:27 (twenty-one years ago)

IT WAS GOOD.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 29 November 2004 11:53 (twenty-one years ago)

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 29 November 2004 12:49 (twenty-one years ago)

It was the best party I've been to all year.

I feel dead ropey. I don't think I'm going to get a good, long night's sleep until tomorrow.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

hey glasgow more, do you want it?

cºzen (Cozen), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 22:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm never stopping.
