I'm most embarrassed about being photographed in a damn LETTER JACKET - which my mom really really wanted me to wear in senior photos to fulfill her weird 50s ideals or something. Holy shit do I look like an idiot in so many ways here.

Anyway, this was early on a Saturday morning in September of my senior year. A friend lived right near the university and we found this college student completely passed out in the driveway, lying in a puddle of his own urine with a copy of Hustler rolled up in his back pocket:

Close to my favorite old photo of myself, probably dating to '78 or '79. There's one I'd rather have even more, but my dad had the great foresight to spend 10 or 15 years taking family photos in slide format (and the equally great foresight to have all those slides transferred onto a VHS tape in the '90s): me about to head out for Neil Young's Rust show in the winter of '79, wearing overalls, a plaid shirt, a black pinstriped jacket (just like on Tonight's the Night), a trucker's hat, and work boots. Can't find the tape, else I'd try to retrieve it.

Love how Tuomas' best friend in 1997 was a female clone of him.
