It wasn't very good, but it was hardly that bad. Troy was good, I liked the Betty White Inception coda, and Oliver's delivery of the 'play along' line was excellent.

agreed, also the little segment of Oliver force pushing Chang away from the food line, then immediately sliding back to his conversation with Jeff was great

I liked the episode just fine.

Yeah, I thought it was just as funny as the other two this season.

Okay Patton Oswalt as the doctor was funny. "These paps aren't going to smear themselves!" There wasn't anything wrong with this ep at all. Or the season so far.

Patton made the same cameo in S1 iirc.

apparently abed had an episode-long plotline involving a pregnant woman that went on in the background of a lot of different scenes -- my dad noticed something was going on mid-episode, but we didn't catch everything.

in the first scene, there's the pregnant woman in the background. In the cafeteria, she goes into labor. Later, she's giving birth in the back of a van.

yes because while everyone obsesses about death life goes on etc etc etc

Thought it was a very good episode.

the oil fight was sexy

great episode... saw the pregnant lady in the opening and wondered if she was why jeff was getting the blood test. after abed reappeared at the end, my gf and i watched the whole episode over again to follow his sub-plot. genius!

community over 30 rock this week. both excellent though. senor chang saying YOU ARE DRUNK AND STUPID pushed community over the line first.

A dis"ass"ter of global "proportions" hit the quad wednesday when two do-"good looking"ers wrestled with an unknown issue involving oil. Looks eco-"friendly" to us, ladies!

This episode was hilarious. It started slow, but John Oliver was hot fire. There were a few forced jokes in there (mostly in the first five mins), and the oil wrestling thing was cliche, but I still laughed a lot.

"Are we thinly veiling personal conflict and passing it off as a lesson? Cuz if so, please continue...."

I like that they have lessons. Cynicism is so cheap and easy, and being able to pull off some sort of emotion without resorting to Scrubs or Modern Family tactics is an achievement in this day and age.

Plus I'm more invested in these characters, so even if an episode (like this week's) isn't firing on all cylinders comedy wise, I still enjoy it.

I had a feeling that the scenes I was seeing were "busier" than normal, but I didn't realize what had happened until someone on here mentioned it when the show was over.

Also, did you notice that the oil drum back there says "Wilde" on it?

it was worth it alone for when abed comes back to find the ship gone.

I've never seen Apollo 13 but The Right Stuff is one my all time faves and the opening sequence was awesome.

nah imo half the fun of these episodes is seeing how much the cast gets into it and wink wink nudge nudge cameos wouldn't add anything -- don't need to see Ray Liotta or whoever popping up in line for chicken fingers

this show is just hitting that perfect "hanging with your hilarious loveable tv friends" sweet spot... à la season 2 us office, cheers, early 30 rock... LOVE it!

This episode was not an Apollo 13 reference... obviously no one has seen Space Camp.

Uh, it was a reference to quite a few movies, including Apollo 13. I mean, the whole Abed thing was a pretty explicit reference to Gary Sinise's character.

Anyone know the techno bit playing with during the Pop-n-lockathon a few episodes back? With the whistling? It's been bugging me all day.
