Koogy: I think they change the URLs every day or something - I've just looked at the properties of that first photo in Yahoo and the URL is six characters different.

This should work now, but probably not tomorrow:

Here's me with no facial hair for the first time in years:

NB: I do not in fact listen to indie rock.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 12:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Mike - use photobucket.com

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 12:02 (twenty-one years ago)

http://jupiter.walagata.com/w/a2lette/girls_connies_party.jpg

i'm the one in the silver. there's one where i look less surprised, but the other girls have their eyes closed, so i figured i'd be nice and post the one where we all look ok.

it took nearly 2 hours to get this picture taken. such vast amounts of alcohol were consumed that at least one person kept wandering off for a while...

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 12:52 (twenty-one years ago)

You all look very pleased, like you were joint winners of the kissing game, or something.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i think it was the champagne cocktails. i don't remember playing the kissing game on saturday...

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 13:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Here's my stupid forehead

jeez, mandee, your eyelashes are so long! i like that angle...

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 13:47 (twenty-one years ago)

eew, they are long! like freakishly so!

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

that's a good thing, though. why else is mascara so popular?

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Mike - use photobucket.com

Apparently, I have to wait until 10am Mountain Standard Time to register. I understand this is to comply with some kind of Wild Mountain Man curfew. Mandee may, or may not, wish to elaborate.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 13:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Out here we don't get to uploadin' our photos 'til 10 am, Mike.

You only have 57 minutes to go!

OMG (ex machina), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I just received some sample prints of bloody PROFESSIONAL, STUDIO shots taken of me for an exhibition and even THEY looked bloody awful, so I am never posting on these threads again.

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 14:58 (twenty-one years ago)

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Here's the star-time shot of my newfound chin:

http://www.sit.wisc.edu/~amgreene/Jordan/chinRogue.jpg

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

archel, i have good pictures of you at the last club FT, so it must have been the photographer that was bad at that shoot!

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Erm, it IS a trucker hat. The trucker hat says "Daniel Tiger" on the front. My friend Marissa gave me the photo in the frame for Christmas last year.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:06 (twenty-one years ago)

jordan, your chin looks perfectly art-deco!

erik, Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Right, I'm a photobucketeer.

Let's see if this works:

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, whadidorong?

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:28 (twenty-one years ago)

That's a terrific photo. Shame nu-ILX has decided it's too big for here. What are the limits again?

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

You probably didn't, the i http function is a piece of shit and I hate it.

Did you hit "enter" after you put in the site name though?

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, yeah x-post. Images over a certain size (not sure if it's dimensions or file size or both) are blocked from ILX now, I think.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

It's both I'm pretty sure, or if whatever server you're using doesn't let ILX parse the information the way they ask for it, blah blah blah. I have been having this problem a LOT. :(

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I see - it's an ILX limitation. It's 51k, 595x894.

Well, I'm not that crazy about embedded images anyway so people can go look.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

51k is pretty small. I'm guessing it's the dimensions. Perhaps someone in the know could tell us - it doesn't seem to be in the FAQ.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, this is 28k and 319x480...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v426/Pernfors88/General/Summergrove.jpg

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't think the filesize matters, it's all about dimensions i think.

it's kinda all done backwards (filesize should count foremost (ban anything over 1Mb??) and if it's too big dimensions size the software can always just stick a width and height tag in) but i didn't write the code :)

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:42 (twenty-one years ago)

i think something like 800x600 is the limit.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

in fact the code already puts width and height tags in - it should be really easy to restrict the size that way but i dunno.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, that's how I'm understanding it, because my server isn't giving up the dimensions information and that's why I can't post photos half the time to ILX.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)

That's a great pic of Ally C up there

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

it is - everyone looked so neat actually at the wedding!

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

The server doesn't hold the dimensions info as such, though, does it? Maybe your jpgs don't contain the right metadata.

it's kinda all done backwards (filesize should count foremost (ban anything over 1Mb??) and if it's too big dimensions size the software can always just stick a width and height tag in) but i didn't write the code :)

This sounds very sensible - it's the filesizes not the dimensions that have the greatest capacity to annoy, at least on dialup.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

God, my hair looks failry dreadful. It is now that length again. How appalling. MUST...GET...CUT...AARGH.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Plus, is my forehead usually THAT BIG?
