(I like them too)
The one time I went to summer camp (one week when I was 12 and I HAD MY PERIOD WTF) the counselors actually put on an air band concert and I recall 1) many of the campers screamed as if these ding dongs were the Beatles; and 2) I developed a shameful crush on one of the counselors directly as a result of his air band performance.

The plot has thickened, guys...
That job that I applied for and didn't get (was actually runner-up for)? ... *Another* person in that group just quit, they do the same job, so it looks like there will be another opening! OMGLOLBBQ2K8

I can't remember what song they air banded to, but if I had to lay odds, I would guess it was either by Journey or Lover Boy.
YAY Dan!

John, I will try to remember to bring the book.
― tit deep in abomination (Jenny), Wednesday, 19 November 2008 21:52 (seventeen years ago)
OK, FYI, I am going to see you TWICE this weekend, probably. Kr and I are going to EZ's play on JFK Day, too.
― jaymc, Wednesday, 19 November 2008 21:55 (seventeen years ago)
como se dice skilled workers en español? trabajadores _____________?
― La Lechera, Wednesday, 19 November 2008 22:01 (seventeen years ago)
Oh ha, I just asked you about that on FACEBOOK. Note: JFK Day is my actual birthday. Anecdote (probably a repeat but I am getting lolold so just get used to it): My father had a book about the assassination of JFK called "NOVEMBER 22" and when I was a wee thing he used to tell me that it was about me.
Anyway maybe we could like... sit together at the play or something????
― tit deep in abomination (Jenny), Wednesday, 19 November 2008 22:01 (seventeen years ago)

that's what the online translator said but i was wondering if there was a better word...?
― La Lechera, Wednesday, 19 November 2008 22:03 (seventeen years ago)
ps the seats at the play are so few that no matter where you sit, you will be sitting together.
hmmmm... Amanda, I don't know but I can ask some WRC people. Or Jesse when he returns from "doing a delivery."
― tit deep in abomination (Jenny), Wednesday, 19 November 2008 22:06 (seventeen years ago)
I did not ask if "doing a delivery" is a euphemism.
For pooping.
― tit deep in abomination (Jenny), Wednesday, 19 November 2008 22:07 (seventeen years ago)
ok, it's no biggie. i can also have a coworker laugh at my composition tomorrow.

What makes it wonderful are the forums.

2. Jenny's link failed, but I just tried to go to http://www.victoriajackson.com/ and the site is down. NO - Update! It's working.
3. "Delivery" meant pretty much delivery. You know what? The cab I took didn't charge me the $1 gas surcharge. Are they not doing that anymore?

Jenny emailed me this re V. Jackson:
Her argument against socialism is to reprint the dictionary definition of socialism and bold the fourth definition, then reprint the definition of capitalism and high light "competition in a free market." SEE IT IS SELF EXPLANATORY!!!!!!!!!!
LOL/AAACK!
My favorite (so far)Because my agent received hateful and threatening phone calls after I expressed my politcal views publicly.... I took her phone number off of my web site. I asked someone why people would be angry with my words. Don't we have freedom of speech? (emphasis hers) They replied that the "...has some traits that resemble the Antichrist" comment was the phrase most offensive to some people.
What is it that she thinks "freedom of speech" means???
Oh, and 4. Chris "Causistry" from ILX has been with 3 monorchids.

The first time I sniffed socialism creeping into our beautiful, free country was when Hilary started talking about socializing health care.

― La Lechera, Thursday, 20 November 2008 20:44 (seventeen years ago)
fine. there have been better, there have been worse. glad a bunch of people showed up for the l@ureates, they are a fun band and nice guys. second band was annoying overthought emo-pop, which i'm worried is becoming a trend.

"Overthought" in what way?
― jaymc, Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:39 (seventeen years ago)
songs have way too many different sections that do complicated things for no real reason
― n/a is just more of a character....in a genre polluted by clones (n/a), Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:41 (seventeen years ago)
to be fair, they describe themselves as "prog-pop"
I am listening to their MySpace.
― jaymc, Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:42 (seventeen years ago)
one of the dudes was in tr0ubled hubbl3, which is interesting because the other band we've played with recently that also has this sound is k1d, y0u'll m0ve m0untains, which ALSO has a former member of ... tr0ubled hubbl3. so maybe it's all the fault of this one band.

My (lady) boss went to the doctor today. As the door was closing, she peeked her head back in and said to me "My colon is cleaner than yooo-oourss."

huh. maybe they had some shared traumatic experience that turned them into emo dudes. like they ran over a hobo in their tour van and made a pact to never tell anyone, but the pressure broke up the band and made them all emo.
