I have to keep it pretty low key as well. I am wedging this between out of town deejay gigs int what was my recuperating at home day. Still, I can have some cocktails and conversation without getting so drunk I am throwing my garnishes at trucks passing by.

and the new book eddy isn't going to be the book eddy, exactly. he's taking a sort of different approach. it'll be smaller (the old corner lounge space) and i think will have some new stuff mixed in with the used. he's ditching a huge amount of his inventory (a lot of it's going to mckay's, i think).

when it was still "cat's records and tapes" it was pretty great :(
in that same little shopping center there was briefly a FANTASTIC used record store whose name i can't remember. i got some bill withers, yazoo, and human league singles there for less than $10 total one time.

it was there for eight or so years and then moved to the strip for a while and is now on walker blvd./broadway. lost and found has been around for over fifteen years now but briefly closed in the early 2000's cause of ebay ruining the record store game temporarily.

i had a weird knoxville dream last night! i was supposed to meet tipsy at market square for a cocktail but i kept running into every person in the world i knew on my way. every single person i past was someone i knew which made me embarrassingly late. when i finally arrived, tipsy was sitting with a panel of news reporters and interviewing bill landry who was making balloon animals outside the tomato head.
