Wellington has an el stop? That's funny, by my house it's just a little one way street that my favorite bar is on.

dan m, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:46 (eighteen years ago)

Also, I will be blurry, just like in that pic, because everyone will be buzzed.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:46 (eighteen years ago)

speaking of bars, is anyone else going to be at the clipper tonight with me and gr80?

chicago kevin, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:47 (eighteen years ago)

Not I.

Here is another pic of that dress that shows more of it, but my arm looks weird so BEWARE.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:48 (eighteen years ago)

TBH, I don't really understand why Wellington has an el stop. Did someone think the four blocks between Diversey and Belmont were too much?

jaymc, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:49 (eighteen years ago)

Nice clock!

Laurel, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:50 (eighteen years ago)

I am glad you feel comfortable telling us that. ha ha

x Thanks!

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:50 (eighteen years ago)

I spent entirely too much money on that clock, but I lurve it.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:51 (eighteen years ago)

very cute dress! it looks festive but not too festive.

colette, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:52 (eighteen years ago)

That photo includes:
* vintage dress
* vintage clock
* vintage turn table
* vintage ipod dock...

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:52 (eighteen years ago)

I'm glad I can be frank with you guys about the CTA.

jaymc, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:53 (eighteen years ago)

:-)

Thanks, Colette. I didn't want to embarrass Nick by showing up in something with sequins.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:53 (eighteen years ago)

(not that I own anything with sequins)

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:53 (eighteen years ago)

I should be Clippin' right along tonight.

dan m, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:54 (eighteen years ago)

I want to go there again someday. I've only been once a looong looong time ago.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:54 (eighteen years ago)

The night we met?

jaymc, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:54 (eighteen years ago)

yay, it's very nearly the end of the day for me, and it's "friday" as well. i like my work schedule.

colette, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:56 (eighteen years ago)

i think i'm going to wander around evanston till the movie starts, maybe i'll run into nick doing the same thing...

colette, Thursday, 13 December 2007 21:57 (eighteen years ago)

Ms. Partner and the Assoc. have gone to get a Christmas tree. I'm all by myself ;__;

And the Dude partner is at the Children's hospital w/ a pneumonia-ey son.

Jesse, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:01 (eighteen years ago)

not a huge fan of the clipper but gr80 suggested it and since he's the guest...

chicago kevin, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:01 (eighteen years ago)

I'M GONNA CELEBRATE BY TURNING THE MUSIC UP TO 4!!!!!WOOWOWOWOO

Jesse, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:02 (eighteen years ago)

Yep, John.

C, He ended up going to see Margot at the Wedding, so maybe he'll be on his way out as you go in.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:02 (eighteen years ago)

what's weird about your arm in that photo?

La Lechera, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:08 (eighteen years ago)

I was going to ask the same thing.

dan m, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:09 (eighteen years ago)

I guess that the top of it looks fat?

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:11 (eighteen years ago)

come on now

Jordan, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:11 (eighteen years ago)

...

Laurel, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:12 (eighteen years ago)

seriously

La Lechera, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:12 (eighteen years ago)

Ok! Ok! But if I weren't vegetarian, I might just take a bite out of my own upper arm. Oh, wait. I meant, if I were a self-deprecatory zombie...

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:15 (eighteen years ago)

Have you ever seen a movie where a zombie eats him/her-self?

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:16 (eighteen years ago)

I guess they don't generally go for the undead.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:17 (eighteen years ago)

No but I've seen crazy.

Laurel, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:17 (eighteen years ago)

Just now?

I feel like watching a zombie movie.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:17 (eighteen years ago)

Have you ever seen a movie where a zombie eats him/her-self?

Not a zombie, no.

kenan, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:18 (eighteen years ago)

I'll ask Maddie if that's ever happened in a zombie movie.

Jordan, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:18 (eighteen years ago)

I love seeing Maddie's flickr pix. She has such awesome goth get-ups. I hope that isn't a creepy thing to say (unlike saying I'd eat my own arm).

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:20 (eighteen years ago)

Sarah, if you ever find yourself in a version of Se7en, eating your own arm will we your ironic torture for the deadly sin of thinking you're a fattay.

kenan, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:21 (eighteen years ago)

She stopped by today to show me her fake hair. It looked pretty good.

Jordan, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:22 (eighteen years ago)

Me out. Happy almost Friday! Don't have nightmares on my account!

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:24 (eighteen years ago)

I'm off to fatten up my arm.

KitCat, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:24 (eighteen years ago)

mmm... marbled

kenan, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:26 (eighteen years ago)

i guess it would be weird if sarah's other arm was totally fat-free

Jordan, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:27 (eighteen years ago)

Both of Sarah's arms are already fat free, I think is the point.

Laurel, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:31 (eighteen years ago)

jaymc, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:33 (eighteen years ago)

i have not actually been to the california clipper. does it have the nfl network? i figure it probably doesn't.

stingy, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:46 (eighteen years ago)

oh for fuck's sake...

stingy, it might.

chicago kevin, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:49 (eighteen years ago)

I actually don't remember TVs at the Clipper at all, though it's probably been at least a year since I've been there.

jaymc, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:51 (eighteen years ago)

Looks like a lot of people are going to have a shitty Monday trying to get to work.

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:52 (eighteen years ago)

Yelp sez no:

my favorite thing about the clipper?.... there is NO TV!!!!! incredible! i find it really depressing when you go into a bar and it's a bunch of people straining their necks at a tv screen. also, as a former bartender also at a tv-less bar, the bartenders at the clipper know how to make good drinks....old timey drinks that require muddling and knowing the difference between bourbon and other whiskey. the staff are also friendly and kind and make strong drinks. me likey.

jaymc, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:53 (eighteen years ago)

also, as a former bartender also at a tv-less bar, the bartenders at the clipper know how to make good drinks

This dangling modifier is driving me crazy.
