A new 30 Rock thread because I can't find the old one

I wonder how the hell they got the idea for the cutaway scene of Frank being an archer unable to compete in the 1980 Olympics-- My father was at his peak as an archer back then and was training for an Olympics try-out when Carter boycotted--he made it to the 1988 Olympics, but as a coach.

I didn't think that episode was as funny as the last few. It was kinda off the rails, like Tina wrote it while making or promoting Baby Mama, or while drunk. Matthew Broderick's nickname stuff was my fave part though..."Burger because he saw me eating a Hamburger...once...and it wasn't even a hamburger, it was a sandwhich!"

i agree that episode was a step down from recent highs. Broderick won't be relaunching his career off the back of that performance. it seems ludicrous to say but i think there was actually too much going on, like they compressed some ideas to squeeze them in following the strike delay.

Any episode with Dennis in it is at least a B for me automatically, even if the Jack stuff was mostly boring.

i love everything about this show. i thought last night was awesome

My favorite 30 Rock line is anything Dr. Spaceman says. Particularly "...Diabetes repair, I guess."

It's not like I didn't think it was funny, but there was something slapdash about it, kinda disjointed in a way. Maybe too much going on so it was cut really tight or weird or something. Don't act like I'm a lesser human, jeez.

It was a pretty disjointed show, but it was jam packed with funny.

They should do a Jack-in-Washington spinoff. It looked like they were using the West Wing set and lighting anyway. "'Cooter' because I look like a turtle and 'Burger' because he saw me eating a hamburger. One time!"
