Kubrick was a New Yorker and worked as photographer in the late 1940s, so it's not that unexpected to see a photo of the two.

they are actors from the Wire but their characters never had scenes together and would not have gotten along. imagining them as their characters stretches the purview of the topic somewhat but it made me happy so there it is.

nb: i wouldn't have recognised either of them w/o a caption! james dean doesn't look that much like himself in those pictures. and i know more about eartha kitt from reading about her and listening to her, so i don't really have any visual cues for her. it's kind of annoying that people are making a big principle out of not captioning the photos.
