I never touched her! I swear!

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 20:46 (twenty years ago)

She wouldn't let me!

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 20:46 (twenty years ago)

It wasn't a response to you!

I will probably have a bday party the weekend after.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 20:47 (twenty years ago)

Oh my. If that wasn't a response to me, I just aired some dirty laundry that I could have kept in the laundry bin.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 20:48 (twenty years ago)

I think I should do some work now. Yeah, that's it.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 20:50 (twenty years ago)

Yay, kelsey! Yay for parties!

I am thinking I should retire my BOO YAH!!!!s, but I still feel the same.

Sarah Madkitten McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 20:59 (twenty years ago)

You're the second person I know of to give notice today, Kelsey. Congratulations!

Steely Df'nM (OutDatWay), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:02 (twenty years ago)

People breakin' up, quittin' jobs: somethin's in the air.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:05 (twenty years ago)

My bad.

deej.. (deej..), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:06 (twenty years ago)

R. Kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:07 (twenty years ago)

R. Kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:07 (twenty years ago)

Or maybe that's just the glove we're smelling.

deej.. (deej..), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:07 (twenty years ago)

Btw, Eric and I had lunch at India House today -- the buffet was delicious. I'd totally be up for lunch/dinner there sometime again.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:08 (twenty years ago)

i eat at indian garden quite a bit.

R. Kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:10 (twenty years ago)

Dan, I know we haven't met, but I'm including you on my party evite. Is that cool w/ you?

Of course! Sorry I'm such a flake and haven't gotten out yet. Perhaps we will meet before your going away party!

Steely Df'nM (OutDatWay), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:13 (twenty years ago)

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:15 (twenty years ago)

Don't blame yourself, I'm part hermit.

In other News About Kelsey . . . what about this for my 'harmonica name' Sweet Tater.

R. Kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:22 (twenty years ago)

Very good. Appropriately hobo-ish.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:29 (twenty years ago)

A friend of mine at work said this:

"Love sweet tater.
Is that like sweet potato?
Heard at the back of a bar:
“Man, can that drunk girl blow?”
“You said it Cleetus. Think they call her Sweet Tater, she’s outta Chicago.”
“Don’t matter much where she come from Jebediah, so long as Sweet Tater’s blowin, I think all us fellas will be linin’ up for a front row seat.”

I’ve reviewed this endlessly and simply cannot rid it of a certain overtone, or double meaning…pesky language."

R. Kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:30 (twenty years ago)

I think I'm in love with Sweet Tater. I'm changing my name on here to it now.

R. Kelsey (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:31 (twenty years ago)

But R. Kelsey is so good!

Oh, ok.

Paunchy Stratego (kenan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:32 (twenty years ago)

I like Sweet Tater.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:33 (twenty years ago)

Sweet Ate Her.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:33 (twenty years ago)

Haha, which co-worker wrote that?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:38 (twenty years ago)

Durno.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:43 (twenty years ago)

how do i change my email to a fake one?

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:43 (twenty years ago)

test.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:52 (twenty years ago)

bravo

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:52 (twenty years ago)

does it make me a bad person if i kinda like it when people call me 'toots?' i kinda do like that.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:54 (twenty years ago)

aw geez. you have to change it every time?

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:55 (twenty years ago)

no, did you save your settings?

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:56 (twenty years ago)

Kels, you can change it under Settings. BUT if you do, it will reset your password and the new password will be sent to the new address. If it's a fake address, you can tell it to send it instead to a Private E-mail Address. I think. There have been so many reports of people fucking this up that I haven't even wanted to try.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:57 (twenty years ago)

I did it and it worked fine.

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:57 (twenty years ago)

i guess i don't really care about it that much. i am a fan of amanda's email, though. it makes me a tiny bit jealous.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 21:59 (twenty years ago)

Kels, it's the subliminal effect of "blow" and the fella- prefix in close proximity.

Eazy (Eazy), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:02 (twenty years ago)

but is it really that subliminal?

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:03 (twenty years ago)

No, I guess not. I think he wants you to sit in the smoking section.

Eazy (Eazy), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:04 (twenty years ago)

Zing!

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:04 (twenty years ago)

Nothing like a harrassment lawsuit to get you settled in Mpls.!

Eazy (Eazy), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:05 (twenty years ago)

I misread that post at first, too -- but the co-worker is the one who's "reviewing endlessly."

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:07 (twenty years ago)

huh?

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:09 (twenty years ago)

right. got it. yeah, i included the author's comments.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:11 (twenty years ago)

This reminds me of some joke about involving Rudloph the Red-Nosed Reindeer along the lines of 'I got so drunk at the bar last night I blew five bucks.'

Eazy (Eazy), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:18 (twenty years ago)

I kind of want the story of Sweet Tater to be made into an old-timey cartoon!

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:21 (twenty years ago)

Self-mythologizing is key is you're going to be a blues player.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:22 (twenty years ago)

Sweet Tater: I Yam What I Yam

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:27 (twenty years ago)

Oh yeah, Jordan?
I'm more just out to amuse myself. It's not like I'm even good at harmonica.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:28 (twenty years ago)

Or, alternately:

What I Yam Is What I Yam

The Milkmaid (of human kindness) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 22:28 (twenty years ago)

EVEN THOUGH yams and sweet potatoes are not technically the same thing, everyone thinks they are.
